Im just talking about the selections that people had, has nothing to do with how it was run....wasnt too much to run really, everyone puts in picks, and it gets graded..

i was in contests where i was passed by dozens because of duke.

i will say though i hate contests that you have no clue what others have.

BP is a good book but i wish they ran the contest better

yeah, but if u notice above, Richard said, you HAD TO PICK teams that were still alive in the sweet 16, so that one will not count, I'm sure...

i dont think those standings can be correct...I for one, almost know for sure, with those teams listed, i would be ahead of many of those players, especially if its a "progressive" grading scale like all other tourney contests......i mean, just getting duke to final game and then the final win, would put u ahead of anyone, who didnt have duke in the final 2.......and not one person on there has them......there is some kind of error I am sure....maybe those are the standings after the first round, and they just havent changed them or something..

I think I came in last place of all the legimate entries. I took St. Mary's, Cornell and Northern Iowa to make final 4 or very close. I also had these 3 Cinderella's to win it all. I'm sure I did worse than anybody trying to win.


The last place on the unofficial results can't count.

i talked to them a minute ago, and he said that the ones that had duke to win, must have had the other games all wrong, and that every game was counted equal, it wasnt scored like most others where u get progressively more points for later winners..

but he is going to have them double check it, and did reitirate that those standings are UNOFFICIAL as of now...

if you had duke winning it all and are not in the top 100

you really had to miss almost all of the other games.

I will be posting every single selection submitted in the next day. Results are unofficial until tomorrow. Tomorrow all winners will be allocated funds to their perspective accounts. The last place winner item of course deals with remaining teams at the time of tip.

the thing that i think looks odd is that out of the top 100 its not only did 1 not have duke to win not 1 had duke even in the final.

i count about 90 of the top 100 had duke making the final 4 yet all 90 of those people did not pick duke to win?

i trust Betphoenix as i think they are a very good book and would have no trouble referring them to a friend.

it has me totally confused and i'm sure i'm not alone when i say that.

there is definitely an error somewhere, and i know Richard is looking into the scores and entries......i finally found where u can get your exact entries for your own, and i checked, i got 8 correct......60 place and down all have only 8 correct, yet i would think you would win a tiebreaker by having the winner of the tourney for sure, so i know they'll get it straightened out....anytime in a contest like this, the final pick carries more weight, whether its a tiebreaker or worth more points......
