As I request a cashout, I was notified from BetED that a former friend of mine, who stole my login info, had logged into my account multiple times from his BANNED IP address, so in order to get my money out I had to settle his debt!!!

They told me it's my problem and my job to collect the money he owes them!!!!

It pissed me off but in 3 days I won back his debt anyways, so I guess all is well.

Still, the lesson is don't get leave your info around and DON'T associate with degenerates who rip off online books by reversing credit card payments.

If you knew someone has your id and password wouldn't you just simply change your password?

I didn't know he stole it until I received notice from BetED that he had logged into my account, he never messed with my money he just logged in - I guess to see what I was doing out of curiousity.

He just stole my info, I had it written down on a piece of paper and he copied it I guess.

It was absoultely him becuase BetED traced his IP and named him.

either that or he hacked into my emaill account and saw my information - becuase when you do a cash request from BetED you have to email them your account ID and password.

other than those two examples I have no clue how he obtained my login info

It sounds like just because he was an associate of the guy that BetEd made him pay for old debts..

If so that is messed up..

NO - he never touched my money, never played anything, all he did was LOGIN and when you login in your IP address is stored and because he reversed credit card charges awhile ago, BetED had banned his IP address so when he logged into my account from his computer...

BetED accused me of breaking their rules and held my money hostage until I settled his debt

I guess but why should I be responsible for his DEBT?!?!?!

Because you were the one who was careless with his account information...duh. If BetED woulda posted your login info on a webpage and THEN someone logged in and messed with your account, then yes, they would be responsible...who was the one that allowed the account info to be comrpomised??? Take responsibility for your carelessness and be a man about it and quit whining.

That's what I figured.. That sucks.

Have you confronted the guy?

So if say someone hacks your info. Logs in from their banned IP and you get stuck with their debt you would be okay with that?

no, but now you're seeing the picture for what it is...beted has rules, im sure they enforce them the same way for everyone...and for good reason. You got fucked, but not beted, by your friend...thats where you need to exact your revenge....

In this case at least he knows who to go after. I agree his friend screwed him big time.

Well you have already posted that you made the money back so congrats on that.

Lesson learned not to be careless I guess.

Weird rule to me but rules are rules I guess. They could believe that you guys were in it together I suppose.

Geoff- I know, I'm just saying if I knew that could could happen I would have been more careful and change my password every so often and NEVER write down my login info so others can see it. This guy would never fuck with my money but logging in?????????

Don't you think that is a little extreme for a book to do? Hold your hard-earned winnings hostage for someone elses debt???

I did confront my friend and needless to say, he is NOT my friend anymore.

Just letting users know, be careful with what you do with your accounts and NEVER associate with known degenerates who STIFF books

YES - that is what I think as well and I really can't blame them for that cause I'm sure people work together in knocking over casinos...but in my case I am INNOCENT!

I'm just lucky it was not a "ton" of money he owed them.
