I have had this happen before w/ CRIS. I made a wager and did not pay attention to the read back and confirmed the wrong wager. I really think that clerks will do this and are so lazy to correct the bet they just give what they think you said..

So glad I have my T-Mobile sidekick so I can wager @ 5dimes without ever having to speak to a clerk....its made my life so much easier

Most clerks are hired off the street with no experience. You would be lucky to find one with a third grade elementary level education that is smarter than a pile of rocks. They hardly ever know what the hell they are doing or what the hell is goin on. Always have to ask the boss questions or put the customer on hold or transfer the call. Can't speak or understand a lick of English. That stuff is annoying as hell and I refuse to call in anymore for that reason. If it's to the point where I have to call in then I just end up calling a local or getting down at a different offshore out online.

5 dimes comes to mind with the most horrible software known to mankind and the constantly busy phones.

Keep trying back until you get a hold of Brad and maybe he will hook you up, ya never know. Can't hurt to try though.

I'd be shocked if they didn't credit you your winnings on this ticket. You probably just have to wait and talk to the manager or Brad since most everyone won't or doesn't have the authority to change or make corrections.

Good Luck

Thanks for the advice, guys. I will keep trying to get ahold of Brad since everyone seems to think he is the man for the job.

Readbacks are for a reason. Really depends on a players track record.
Exactly. The book only hears about the players who lost and should have won. Very rarely do they hear from the players that actually lost and ended up getting paid because of the clerk. I am not absolving the book here but I sure wouldn't go on a rant until you are sure you are not getting paid.

P.S. What's up with that 14 to 5 payoff? In the old days it was 5 to 2 and then 13 to 5, why is CRIS paying 14 to 5? Sounds like a helluva deal to me.

I got my wager money back, but not the winnings. Sorry to rant about this but I have never gotten jobbed on a phone wager and it was very frustrating. I will never use their thick-accented, unintelligible phone clerks again.
