Where are the mods in this issue? Strangely silent. I know there are more important issues like hit-it posse threads, babysitting the BeantownJims and jjgolds of the world and about a thousand posts on a Vegas trip which I doubt more than 30 posters will actually show up. Once you get done with those important issues and other agendas, maybe you can post on minor issues like this one. What a joke.
The mods maybe in contact with Dave behind the scenes regarding the situation or as I stated before they are sometimes left in the dilemma of making a business decision and BetCbs maybe a potential advertiser or before this incident they may have been soliticing them for advertising and doesn't want to burn any bridges. Words, if any, will be careful spoken I believe. They are all over the BetFlamingo situation though???
I have learned not to be naive when dealing with these sportsbook forums. Many have said before they are not a watchdog and I really believe them even though they may give off that perception. Just about every mod is in the BetFlamingo thread chiming in now before this I never heard of these guys so what's the possibility of them advertising here outside of them contacting Shrink opposed to BetCbs who has been around for a while and had a somewhat decent reputation over the past several years. Do the math people. You can burn bridges, you just have to decide which ones to burn.
Even if BetCbs does make this right, they are still dogcrap to me IMO and I'm not playing there! I don't care how much spin control they or the Rx does. I hope I don't see the customary post to end this all, " I would like to thank Dave..... or I apologize to BetCbs...." type endings or I will puke. At least McIrish said he would look into this a few days ago and that's the only mods posting I saw in this thread???

in response to this, i would just like to ask you what you would say if you tried to help someone, and then found out that person was just a scammer trying to screw the book over.
i think there are just as many times that we side with the player in situations like this, as there are times when we side with the books.
we look at each individual situation objectively and give our opinion.

What is hilarious is there have been no posts to my knowledge where there has been one post of support for cbs in this thread whether it was a shill or someone who sincerely believes that cbs was in the right. This might be the first time in a poster/book fight that there is absolutely no support for the book. Maybe, betcbs can't afford shills anymore - another sure sign not to play here.
My view is whenever a $hit book or unheard of book comes in here you guys (you know who you are) are right on the case i.e. Bettropics, BML, BetFlamingo should I go on? posters hear we are looking into it, updating or commenting but when it comes to a case such as this little if anything is said. Now again I know you aren't a watchdog as it has been stated before so I really don't have any expectations of you mods but I can see through motives and this one is becoming transparent. If the guy is a scammer then expose him and shame on him but if you want to help others like those you are trying to assist with BetFlamingo or BetTropics (who the phuck are these guys anyway???) then I think it's only right. Dave is normally one to come right to BetCbs defense if anything is said negative towards his book and even he's silent. It sounds like this guy has a pretty legit case and I apologize for having certain expectations in the Rx.
nothing wrong with having expectations of us at all. if we aren't currently living up to them, then shame on us. we need to try harder.

Take it easy guys, I am sure we can help or at least try to if Areef wants us involved. He has to let us know though. Actually I did write them late Monday night but that was out of my own curiousity on the matter more than anything. Just to be clear this is not how we mediate something or get involved. Come to us first and give us your story. If a poster comes to the forums and tells his side of it and starts bashing the book it never helps both sides reach a compromise if that is what he is after. If he wants to vent on his unhappiness about a book that is what we are here for as well. LOL. Before we can do anything formally on your behalf though first you have to let us know you want us to help. I have learned long ago people get pissed if you get up in their business without being asked to. So no other than asking for their side of the story out of my own personal interest the site has not formally pursued this. We help anyone we can but we need to make sure we are acting on a players behalf. As far as I was concerned it was a thread where players were speaking their opinion on a book. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. In fact my only statement was leaning towards the player if I remember correctly. Anyway who better to hear feedback on a book than from other gamblers? I didn't see anything wrong with this at all.

I'm just curious because this is not the first time I've seen a major thread concering a book have zero mod opinions.
