I signed up first, then read the rules....LOL.
What happens if I pick a horse and an alternate and both are scratched? Scratches are not unlikely on BC day...I remember a few years back watching the races and one of the favorites, a female horse as I recall, fell on the track before the post parade and had to be scratched, even euthanized that day.
One of the rules says no editing, but if the post was edited before the races started, what is the harm? That would enable people to make their plays earlier in the week and then substitute another horse for a horse that is scratched. Otherwise people would all want to make their picks 15 mins or so before the races begin, so as to have the maximum information on which horses are scratched.
