Chuck my buddy wagered on this off line and they locked his account and told him to call Justin. After talking to Justin they unlocked his account he will take a payout and say bye bye to bet on sports.

Why lock it and call Justin?

What did Justin have to tell him?

Why the payout & bye bye?

Did your buddy ask first if it was a bad line before wagering?

Was this bet made before or after the Mavs lost game 6 at home?

If you ask that the line's correct and they say it is, I'm not sure what reason the book has to void the wager.

Don't think that they will pay +270 on something that should be -125 or so, even if they say it's good. You are asking for trouble betting something like this. It's so far off that even a mod, or Dozer, or Roberto will have problems settling this in your favor.

Just for the record:

The plus 275 price was for before game 6 - the real line after game 6 was minus 120 Spurs. Whoever the CSD clerk was that told Irving in the guest to KK chat didn't know what he was talking about.

Any bets made at plus 275 before game 6 started were not cancelled - any made after that game was over at that price (plus 275) were cancelled and all funds refunded.

BoS Justin is a smart guy. Has helped me with a few issues over the years.

Obvious bad line, they have no responsibility to honor bets on that line post game 6.

Only a scumbag thief would try to bet that.

Have some class and tell them they have F*cked up a line.

The house hold on those Western conference lines was a whopping 17.5%. It's kind of difficult to be a "scumbag thief" betting into a line with that much vig. And in any case, what are you supposed to do when you ask the book "Are you sure that line is ok?" and they tell you "Yes?"

Since offshore sports books are unregulated they'll do just about whatever they want and get away with it. The Nevada sportsbooks put up similar lines with awful vig but at least their legally required to honor tickets as written.
