I wagered on a prop...first turnover of game for Iowa/Florida would be interception...book graded as loss...I show as win...(as far as I know blocked punts are not considered turnovers, right?) Am I wrong?

Sherman - depends how your book words the prop. For example:/1/2004 7:55 PM The first turnover of the game will be On fumble, it has to be lost fumble recovered by an opposing team, not be same team. Overtime counts towards wager. Game must go 55 minutes for action. A blocked punt isn't a turnover for either team.
521 Fumble -125
522 Interception -105
523 No Turnovers in game +800

This is a prop from a Major book, and clearly a blocked punt is not a turnover. I would call or send an EM immediately for clarification. The Iowa/Fla game had several fumbles but all were recovered by the team that fumbled. The first turnover was: (12:14 of 4th Quarter) Chris Leak was intercepted. Jovon Johnson returned the interception for no gain.

I think most books if they are unsure about whether the prop is a winner or loser will grade it as a loser and wait for the customer to call. At least this is what most of my experiences are from. I can remember at least 20 times where props were graded as losers and they were winners. It's absolutely ludicrous. These books could ive a rat's ass they just want more and more deposits. Good luck with your situation!

Thanx for all your input guys...what you said is what I thought. I did call the book and they said they would look into it and check back in a few hours. It has been many hours and still no correction so I will call again....thanks again.

Thanks guys. I have called 3 times and they keep telling me it has not been looked at yet because it is such a busy day today. I am not upset because I have NEVER had a problem with them before and I am confident they will make the correction soon. It is not alot of money anyway, but of course I want it corrected. I'm sure it will be available for me to lose tomorrow...thanks again guys, what a great site!

A busy day? 5 college foots games on the card and 3 ncaa cb games. Also a few measley hockey games. That's a sad excuse. I'm curious to know what book it is to? Of course the volume on the football games is huge today but it's all square action. This is one of the biggest square wagering days of the year.

I'm curious what the typical timeframe is for an inquiry like this to be looked at (busy day or not...which this shouldn't be, unless they're understaffed because most of the staff is sleeping off hangovers). On the surface, seems like pretty bad customer service.

The Bet has been corrected! I will tell you the book but I don't want anyone to think I am bad mouthing the book because that is not the case! V-wager is the book. And I must stress I have NEVER had a problem with them and don't really consider this to be a problem just a small inconvienence. I would reccomend them to anyone! Thanks for all your input guys!

Glad to hear it got straightened out eventually...hopefully they (and other books) take note that these type of situations should be dealt with quickly. Word of mouth can spread quickly.

I would still like to hear from posters about what they consider a reasonable timeframe for getting things like this investitgated.

Something cut and dry like this, no more than 6 hours. I would however allow a bit more patience on a major holiday like New Years Day. This is really not an excuse, but some books are hard pressed on big holidays. Locals like them off, and of course in Costa Rica they get double pay on National holidays, which has a way of letting the locals get the day off.
