Bet Gameday false advertising / unclear terms

I signed up with Bet Gameday for their 20% bonus in the sportsbook. I deposited 1k and then they refused the $200 bonus because I had already claimed a bonus at one of their sister casinos, Bet Euro. Bet Euro is not mentioned *anywhere* in their terms (I have a dated screenshot) so the player is fooled into thinking this is an independant site. Not only that, but one is a sportsbook and the other is a casino. They will not let me withdraw my 1k without either wagering it through once or paying $30 in Neteller fees. I think because their terms do not mention Bet Euro that they should either allow me to withdraw for my own money for free or give me the bonus advertised. Their support didn't even answer my email for several hours until I emailed a second time and mentioned posting about it... then they answered with their refusal to budge.

technically, you're in the right. You weakened your case by running to the forums so quickly.

A better solution, after the initial refusal, would be to ask for a manager. Explain your situation, and ask him politely to waive the neteller charge.

If you already did this, then you're right to make their life difficult by posting here. But if you didn't, you're jumping the gun.

On another note, is a $30 neteller charge even worth the time to dispute?

Well, I heard from three different CSR's... one through live chat and the other two through email. All gave me the same answer. The third,"Mario", who implied the decision was final. "Shurensca" was the one who told me of the two choices. I don't remember the name of the first who refused the bonus. I do know the $30 charge is minimal, but it's the principle. I don't think they should be allowed to get away with this and should either give the bonus or allow a withdrawal of the funds deposited without penalty.

This guy didn't even get on the phone, and ask to speak to a manager. I've had half a dozen small problems that I couldn't fix by email or with customer service grunts, but which took less than 5 minutes to amicably resolve once I asked to speak to a manager. Not once have I had to run to the forums.

If you haven't even tried to speak to a manager, and you're crying on the forums, you're more interested in whining than getting your problem resolved. Face it - most CS clerks are clueless. They can handle only the simplest of issues.

Once you go to forums and bitch before making a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute, you're putting a book in a corner. Once it is public, a book has 2 options. Look for ways to justify the decision made (player loses), or admit a mistake to the world, and fix a $30 error. Going public in this case will only make them harden their stance (and look for more ways to justify their decision, rather than fix the problem).

Would the $30 fee be waived by talking to a manager before posting?

Why the hell does someone NEED to contact a book regarding an issue, ask for help from a supposed third party or go into a shell before posting what they feel like regarding an issue with a book?

If this story is true, the guys has a point and may save others the misfortune of going through the same crap.

That pretty much says it all I would say.

I disagree that players should necessarily have to use the phone, though. Managers should be just as capable of reading and responding to emails as they are talking to customers on the phone. If they can't keep up with technology that shouldn't be the player's problem IMO.

Gameday sucks anyways.

Either bet the money or eat the 30 bux. Then when it takes 4 or 5 days for that to clear you wil have another complaint against them.

That doesn't mean crap. That gives them the license to steal. Are you really trying to say that it is fine and dandy for a book to spam you with offers of 20% when you deposit. Then after you deposit and they have your money, they can go to that rule for any bogus reason and renig on the bonus offer AND NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK IN FULL???

According to that rule you incited Darryl it is also ok for them to accept your deposit, let you wager until just before your rollover is met, then remove the bonus from you, correct?

BTW I worked as a moderator for a casino message board before. This is not an isolated incident. Seen it a bunch of times with this group. They have about 3-5 casinos and doesn't say anywhere on them that they are related. They let players sign up at more then one, but when they deposit they stiff the player of the bonuses they offer in the email they send when you sign up.

Darlingly:

The correct odds before bringing to the message board should have been...

Yes +270
No -330

The players I was in touch with never posted it anywhere and dealt with the casino through many emails and the casino refused to budge.
These were casino deposited and much smaller then $1000m most cases were for $100 deposits in which case the players just cashed out and ate the $3 fee.

Re:

Well, I have since received 2 emails from different "managers"... "Skip Alan" and "John Olsen". Both said they agreed with "Mario" and that I would not receive the bonus and would have to pay the fee if I didn't wager 1k. They said that it was because I had received bonuses at their other casinos and was "not looking for a long term relationship, but rather a lucrative bonus". If they don't want to honour the bonus that is advertised all over their site, fine... but I should not have to pay a fee to get MY money back. I really hope that out of all this, they lose more business than that bonus or fee would have cost them. Stay away from this group like you would a swarm of angry yellowjackets.

STAY AWAY from Gameday. They get nasty if you should win or actually have the audacity to withdraw your money after fulfilling all rollover requirements.

As I said in the other thread, this is one of the few times I agree with Chuck. This book is a joke which hates winners. God forbid you actually try & do win money. I easily could see these guys fighting each other for a quarter that dropped in the corner.

IPICUM, 1st post? You are a liar if you are attempting to portray yourself as a winner at Gameday. They only send t-shirts to their losers. If you lose your ass, Gameday won't bother you. Posters here have complained of losing at Gameday for two years straight and then catch a hotstreak only to have their limits cut. This S-H-I-T book won't even allow you to get back the money you've lost!!
