For "Best Written" where that equals Vision of a Lone Guy that led to the accomplishment of Passion via Expression, a "Message" Deep

("whats This Life For?" & "Whats the Eventual Worth, Peril, of Distraction to What Life is for", What Manifested Itself In The End as...Truly of Value, within this Life and what price is required to Atone, for Fucking Up)

Kirk Sutter gots this. Hands Down:

Sons of Anarchy.

Runners-Up:

The Wire

OZ

Breaking Bad

The Sopranos

Asterisk *: The British Shows (UK Productions), so many of them, Reality is many would compete ferociously for Best Ever from the sheer "Best Written" aspect you lay down and in all Honesty they'd win handily over all but SOA. Sons of Anarchy.

Thing that Sutter did is He wanted to Express Something, yeah. Way way way beyond a series about Biker Culture, he felt that desire: to Relay some Message. Of Redemption. But it didn't turn out that way. Or Maybe it did. "Eye of The Beholder"

The Reason I type here all that follows is that you interjected the word "BEST" for "Writing" whic begs the conversation cuz its not "writing" it some thing else, sometimes...its interesting like very.

True Art IMPACTS. Some "True Art" like I'm trying to describe makes itself, the word we use is "Muse." The Pen seems to move on it's own on paper and/or you awake with a Melody in your head that you know is from somewhere else and you struggle to hum it into a lame ass cassette tape recorder and/or you get flooded with more words than you can write fast enough to save, on paper.

Or just a "Vision", so much (specifically) that you know that you have to Express, relate to Others, make them Understand

"The Message"

but The Artist fails. Always.

Falls Short.

Of, at the Least: what (s)he Felt.

Always. Its never ever possible: Perfection. Pure Expression. That ability to relay The Message is never ever achieved.

Some have come close. Kirk Sutter came a hella lot Closer than all but a very very few.

Point I intended to make, before getting Sidetracked is: The British Shows (many) they have to be considered for "Best Written Cable Series" but one has to have a United Kingdom-raised Brain to truly appreciate them just like one has to read Q'uran in The Original Arabic or Hebrew Texts in the Original Language they were written in, to really grasp what was being relayed

or True Understanding is Far-Fetched, at Best. Close to Impossible.

Much like trying to TRULY relate (Get Across, to Others), via Our Primitive Devices: Writing, Paint, Musical Instruments, Voice: "That Message"

That Same Message that is ALWAYS communicated to The Artist, same damn message.

Its something to do with "love". not just "love" on the Surface Basis of a 3rd Dimension like this one we wake up in and live in

but deeper, beyond that. Past This but yet still including that Love that we have a chance to make here....

...there is Zero Chance I succeed in arriving even close to making what I am trying to say Understood. Cuz = Words.

Limited Dimension, Sandbox. Kindergarten Sand Box surrounded Walled Off by Cold Grey Cement Walls extending up as far as can (generally) be Seen. Tiny Place, Physical Existence.

WTF is beyond this? These Walls? This Sand Box?

Hella Lotta Folks try to find out. Timothy Leary was among the most Entertaining of those who tried to find Answers.

Huxley...so Far Back we could go but its all just fuckin' words, fuckin' words, fuckin' Dust: Here. Fuck Words some certain Idiot said cuz Words made The Wound that they would Save Him but they ended up Fucking Him, trapped him into a Life where He had to sing the same fucking words 99,000 times only to have people shout at him: Light My Fire!!

Fucking Words.

Kirk Sutter Came Close though. to relaying The Message, via the character of Jax.

What "mattered" In The End? What was lost To Vanity, Allegiance to Ego? Blindness.

What was The Price?

Did Kirk succeed in making people feel that?

who are you?

Find Out:

Have Fun:

Scale These Walls that Surround You.

Fuck This Shit: Limitations of This Primitive Place.

With a Mind So Alive, such Animation such Life you fully know what you Feel is Not Of This World and This is All There Was? this?

Was It?

yeah right, stop being childish. Anhalonium Lewinii

This Place 3rd Dimension is equal to you being stuck in a Pinata or you as the Lead in that Metallica Song: ONE, past the walls of this fucked up primitive sandbox

Who Are You?

RENT a sense of Adventure

from Somewhere.

The Fuck Out Of Here

Don't Give Me that: "I'm too OLD!!!" crap either.

and we can Eliminate British TV (Cable) Series cuz we don't have UK Brain thus no reasonable means of Comparison.

To US Shows. Believe it or not: that was all I wanted to say, with this post & that Kirk Sutter came close. To Delivering "The Message."

Interesting that the only True Art, that which gets "delivered" by The Muse

and is not infected with Shit of This World

is always about Love.

If its not about that its Of This World.

fucking period.

Of Course By No Means was that "you" in the above ^^^^ meant as you fletchisrhsm it was used as a General You

a You directed to other than You.

Sorry for the Crazy Long Post Above, when you Break Off question of "Best" though re: Writing in a Cable Series in a World post-what Sutter did with SOA ya kinda provoke a Conversation of Existential Shit.

Exact Same as that Fascinating arrangement by which in their last moments that they will see each other, ever again, people have more than ever to say to one another.

Life on this Place was mostly spent being "blind", sleepwalking, for some Reason. Stumbling About not noticing very much.

I only meant to say that if people witness Jackson's Journey, Jax Teller SOA, if they are able to go along on that

then where it winds up

what Kirk Sutter did there

it was about Tragedy so far far far far LESS than it was about Love.

Shakespeare pulled off Similar to what Sutter did with SOA and Shakespeare is a Literary Legend "Unrivaled", fuckers insist to me.

I feel like one needs that UK Brain to really get with Shakespeare's stuff. Ability to be Down with The Olde English talk. If only just drinking Olde Englsih 800 Malt Liquor could make one fall as Madly In Love with Shakespeare as the world is....maybe I would have gotten to that place.

But Naw. I've tried to read Shakespeare. Its fuckin' like: "Aww FOCK." Its Fuckin' Like: "Wherefore Art Thou" and I literally cannot stand anymore

Hard to pick 1 as I've watched some really good series recently and the really good ones feel like the best at the moment.

Soprano's I really looked forward to every Sunday and had to watch it on a Sunday but there were some bad episodes mixed in.

Breaking Bad was fantastic too

if it was given more seasons the show Rubicon would have been excellent. i think it hit a little too close to home for the power brokers of America and got pulled despite excellent reviews

All very well said.

Especially that First thing, Bolded.

Truest Truth, where regards the question of "whats best" re: Cable TV Series.

For Me Soundtrack accounts for so Large a Portion of the Final Score, how heavily I weigh Soundtrack would have some guys say: "wtf? Seriously?"

Recently I've binge watched all seasons of It's always sunny in Philadelphia. That is a pretty awesome show.

If you guys are stuck on the 1 hours, I think Breaking Bad (Better Call Saul is a great spinoff too) or Game of Thrones. Lots of other with promise, but those two have been awesome every season without a dropoff.

Shows like Walking Dead or Homeland have had epic seasons and really weak ones to weaken the series as a whole.
