Best way to quit the smokes

I used to smoke 2 packs a day. My buddy and I made a big bet on who could quit. Both of us quit cold turkey and it was the best bet i ever made and didnt collect because he quit too. this was 20 years ago.

set a date for when u want to quit-2 to 3 wks from now. next wind down ur smoking, get as close to zero as u can as your quit date approaches. u can u gum, patches, or other aids. list reasons why u want to quit, write them down and stick that paper somewhere handy, where u can read it periodically. smokes suck, expensive, u don't really want to smoke. just understand that nicotine is an addiction & that you are addicted to it.

Classic stuff.

Plus, do NOT hang around smokers. After you quit, you will be able to smell it on them in parts per million, like Daredevil. And that smell could trigger your old urges. Same as looking at someone smoking.

Assume you are talking about the 2006 bash.. A lot of people from that bash are now labeled "stiffs" and "thieves"

its a trip how many people from that bash dont and will likely never post here again..

Anyone remember that movie where to get the guy to quit smoking (they would watch him to make sure he didn't) they put his cat in that shock chamber? Then they said they would put his wife in there if they caught him again?

Maybe it was Twilight Zone or Creepshow, can't remember. Horrible movie but you could try that.
