John Deere (a while ago) made agreements with certain retailers (Home Depot in particular) to sell thier lawn tractors for much lower prices. In order to do that, they have been using substandard parts in these machines. This has been going on for many years.
If you buy the same lawn-tractor at a John Deere dealership, you pay quite a bit more, but the quality is what you would expect and what their company was built on.
That is inaccurate. They may not tell you that but if you talk to any employee from Deere, it's common knowledge to them. I've talked to ones from a dealership when buying a lawntractor, guys who work at the counter of 2 different dealerships that deal with heavy equipment only (as I operate heavy equipment part time), and a few guys that do onsite repair (I was asking when purchasing one).
Maybe you have more/better contacts than I have, but I'm just telling you what I have been told.

The guys that work at the heavy equipment dealership (excavators/backhoes) had no reason to lie to me. As a matter of fact, they would rather be honest as we are a decent size customer and they have nothing to gain by telling stories.
Neither did the guys showing up on site to do maintenance and repairs on said heavy equipment.
I honestly don't care what you believe as you are clearly posting in this thread for the sole purpose of argueing while having zero knowledge or experience to qualify your statements.

Zero experience? Now, thats funny. I own and operate the largest landscaping and pond building businesses in Indiana, Illinois and North Carolina with smaller offices in other states and countries. Might wanna check yoself
If you buy the same model at lowe's, the dealer, pawn shop or Mars....it's the SAME fucking equipment. Some dealers don't sell the lower end models of the low end tractors and such, but if they do......it's the same shit.
And on another note...anyone who uses JD for heavy equipment is a real fool.
