Yes. Loved it as kid. I'm sure it was a lousy show. Never recall anyone showing reruns of it.
Think it was only on for a couple of years so obviously the ratings weren't very good. I liked it as a kid because it actually helped me learn about history since they always went back to some historic place or event in time. I think the first episode they landed on the Titantic.

There were newer shows growing up, but I tended to be drawn to black-and-white classics; Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, and The Dick Van Dyke Show along with Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch.

I remember thinking J.J. was funny too from Good Times and Red from Sanford & Son was classic.

I would often repeat J.J.'s corny jokes for a couple of days: "The neighborhood has gotten so bad that Dr. Pepper won't even make a house call."

I was born in '67. Happy Days debuted January 1974 which would have made me about 7 yrs old. EVERYBODY loved that show. In grade school, "The Fonz" was the epitome of cool. All the little dudes would be running around saying "aaaaaayyyyyy" with two thumbs up. Looking back on the show now, of course it is silly. But back then, it was really popular among the kids. After school it was all about "Ultraman", which is a really obscure show, but a favorite for the boys of my generation. If you allow cartoons into the poll... I would add "speed racer" and "spiderman"

which is really funny cause Henry Winkler is far from cool
