The Hilton.A lot of the policies have changed in Vegas.

Previously, never had problems with drinks at Bally's,Stations,
Golden Nugget,Planet Hollywood.Always ask for drink tickets
when making wagers.

The only book on the strip I know of that doesn't require drink tickets is the Bellagio. I bet on football there as recently as January of this year, so I don't think it's changed since. Every other book issues drink tickets.

Bellagio also happens to be one of the most comfortable books on the strip. Plush leather recliners, etc. Wherever you go, I'd suggest calling a sports book host and making a reservation there since you're going to be there on a weekend, because those places fill up really early in the morning. During football season, a buddy of mine went to the Bellagio just before 7:30 am on an NFL Sunday and all the chairs were already taken even though the games didn't kick off for almost 3 more hrs. I don't know if it's the same during the college hoops tourney, but I'd play it safe if I were you...

By the way, PH actually isn't a bad choice to spend a day watching games. The seats are comfortable, they have a bunch of TVs showing everything, etc. Plus they gave me 3-4 drink tix for every $100 or so I wagered...which should be plenty.

Getting drinks free will be the least of your problems ! Finding a place to sit will be your real problem. Every Sportsbook in Las Vegas will be a Zoo this Thursday and Friday ! Enjoy the Madness as it's a blast !

Last year I got to the Bellagio the first day of the tourney at 6 am and all the seats were gone, some people slept overnight there.

Jesus Christ...that's insane. I've never been to Vegas during March Madness, but it sounds like it's even more crowded and annoying than an average weekend of football, which says something.

If I were going this weekend, I'd definitely call up some casinos and see if they're hosting any March Madness parties. A buddy of mine went to one at the Golden Nugget last year and said it was actually a lot of fun...they sat in a conference room completely seperate from the sports book with a bunch of big screen TVs, betting stations, free buffet, etc. It may cost you a few bucks to get in, but you have everything you need, you're guaranteed a seat, and you don't have to worry about getting up at the ass-crack of dawn to get there...

you are better off at an offstrip casino like Fiesta of Henderson. Great TV's and good bar.

Going to Vegas during the tourney has become annoying. Haltime wagers are almost a joke, at Mandalay the lines are so damn long.

Forget getting a seat anywhere, unless you are dropping some serious cash.

Tahoe is a decent option. Not a lot of outs but very mellow. Bet it will be dead in the book 9:00 Thurs. A lot of people are out skiing.

One independent book here takes up to 500 and moves very slow.

Palms is not bad, they actually will let you throw down some decent cash. Mandalay is good. I would probably go their if i didn't got LV Hilton.

GN- Not so much.

Where in Ohio?

Not really true. We are staying at Bally's and I reserved 5 seats in the sportsbook. This is a pretty solid sportsbook for anyone who has been there. I don't have any type of great status or anything. We did the same thing last year with no problems. My name was on the seats and anyone who was already in them would move when we asked. Halftime wagers are pretty tough, but if you play it right, there are plenty of times to beat the rush and get bets in.

That is because you are at Bally's. Bally's doesn't allow you to throw down more than 2K per game.
