The Pac-12 has been called the conference of quarterbacks, and this season seems to be living up to the billing. A rundown of four of the better ones this season.
Jared Goff, California
An argument can be made that Goff is the best of the bunch. He certainly has the numbers. The junior was the conference's top returning starter for yards passing after throwing for a school record 3,973 last season with 35 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He entered the season with 19 school records and this season broke Troy Taylor's career yards record.
This season: 92 of 133 (69.2%) for 1240 yards with 11 touchdowns, 3 interceptions.
Cody Kessler, USC
Kessler could stake a claim in the best-of-conference argument. The senior threw more touchdowns (39) than any returning Pac-12 starter. He threw for over 3,800 yards last season.
This season: 89 of 122 (73%) for 1297 yards with 15 touchdowns , 1 interception.
Anu Solomon, Arizona
Last year he won a four-way battle to be Arizona's starter in his freshman season and didn't disappoint, throwing for over 3,700 yards and 28 touchdowns.
This season: 75 of 114 (65.7&) for 833 yards and 7 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.
Josh Rosen, UCLA
As first starts go, it doesn't get much better than this true freshman first career start. He threw for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns against Virginia.
This season: 80 of 128 (62.5%) for 964 yards with 7 touchdowns, 4 interceptions.
