Hi there: I'm going to Rx get-together (with wife). Given the free room at GN for Fri/Sat, I'm asking some advice.

I live near New Haven/ Hartford, CT. I have a firm commitment on Weds nights at 7pm. So I could make maybe a 11pm flight out of Hartford, on Aug 11th, no earlier than that. I prefer out of Hartford vs. NYC.

I'm thinking spending Thurs night mid-strip. I'm trying to make it cheap. Maybe Imperial Palace for Thurs, then GN for Fri/Sat, perhaps Sun, and Mon, also. If I wasn't married, I'd choose the Ogden House, El Cortez, or even the Western, for the remainder of my stay, wifey doesn't like flea-bags. I've lived all up and down Fremont street around 15th, (Sunflower ? )and down at the Vagabound, Blue Angel, etc,. I even tended bar at the old Bank Club, on graveyard. I gotta be back in Hartford say 3pm. (EST), wednesday Aug 18th.

Any thoughts ? I know the standard sights, but maybe somebody's got new info ?

Doug

I know LV well, lived there 7 yrs.

if you fly out of hartford I was suggest you fly SONG. This is delta's low far carier. They have satelite TV in all the headsets and comfortable tee's. I flew from Hartford to Orlando for about 200.00 round trip. I know they fly to LV from hartford. Hope this helps

i dont know if jet blue flys out of hartford but i love flying them from jfk to vegas..200 bucks, sattelite dish and good service. I get a kick out of the screen that shows the current altitude, speed and maps of where you are flying directly over right down to the city..pretty cool
