Dropped my phone in pool today . Been wanting to get new one for some time but hate all the setting up that goes with it. Don't need any text messaging. Just need to be able to make calls and receive. Also , not so frequent but from time to time need to check emails and be able to access internet. That's about it. Oh forgot, like big numbers.@):)

The SheBar dropped her phone in pool last month.

We got it out, took it apart, dried the battery and let it sit open to the air for 24 hours and it works fine, though the little picture window on front is foggy.

Are you in the middle of a contract? If you're looking to use email functionality, I really liked the Blackberry Curve when I had it - and if you sign up for a new 2 year contract you can usually get them for just about nothing. Great support online for these phones, very easy to set up email... Not built to be tinkered with (ie: iphone). Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-83..._1_6?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1243352748&sr=1-6

That's what i got and it sure looks like more than i need. My contract had run out and i signed up for two more years and got somewhat of a discount. It is going to take me all day to figure out. They sent me a power point presentation by email but still don't care about reading this thing forever. I was always the guy that had four screws and nuts left when putting things together. Just hate to read instructions. Had my other phone four yeasrs and just knew how to make and receive calls. It also had all the bells and whistles and i don't need them
