If you went to high school in the early 80's, you may remember a movie that came on HBO and became quite popular. Today it's somewhat of a cult classic for Gen X'ers. Matt Dillon made his screen debut in director Jonathan Kaplan's 1979 film Over The Edge. It's about a group of teens in a suburban community who turn to crime after being neglected and bored.

I wouldn't recommend the movie unless you are part of Gen X. It's a period piece for sure. Kurt Cobain had this movie as one of his alltime favorites. The sound track has Van Halen and Cheap Trick. I saw it while in 8th or 9th grade which is basically the same age of the students.
