Interesting how the #5 seed has a slightly lower winning percentage than the #6 seed.

I only wish it would do the homework for us and show which of the teams fit the upset criteria.

This is the best I could find. I wanted to share with everyone in case you have not seen this. Great reading information.

All of Tiernan's stuff is on his own site at BracketScience.com. He's got a lot more articles there that help analyze everything and shows which teams qualify for the upsets.

I've been following him for a while now and always puts out great articles come March.

I read that guys stuff back on ESPN. He's identified something 10 straight champions and 17/19. His pick this year is North Carolina through his formulas. Final Four is UNC, Connecticut, UCLA, Louisville (not sure on this one - could be MSU dependent on if he defines Terence Williams as an "All American" or not). All great readings if you like stats and trends.

Gonzo, all the info is for ESPN Insiders. Just search his name and click on an article by him, on the right hand side is a list of all the articles he's written.

from what I can figure according to his system WKY would be best 12 seed for an upset. Illinois get less than 50% scoring from guards and WKY was in tourney last year. Illinois also no momentum losing 3/4 coming into tourney

LETS GO WASHINGTON -5, or Washington (Pickem) to complete my 3 team teaser)

I'm not playing anything today so I just feel like touting the Washington Huskies, obviously my ideal scenario is for Washington to cover also so I can hit the -5 and the Pickem
3 team teaser (at +140)
Remember, I have zero effect on the game so whether I tout them or don't tout them it doesn't matter---Although Santa Clara's fans almost cost me a cover a few weeks ago when they kept throwing trash on the floor
