ive been to alot of tracks, ( inc.saratoga,
santa anita, del mar, etc)but my all time
favorite is monmouth park. it was the 1st
track that i ever went to and i spent many
a summer aftn there. i remember in the early
'70's when it used to be crowded, you had to get there a few hours early to get a free seat
(had to carefully fold a page of the drf into the slats of
the seat to claim it for the day).
i haven't been there in over 10 yrs, but have
great memories from there, like having freetex
over riva ridge in the '73 monthmouth inv. or
just sitting in the grandstand on a chilly day
in early june with a beer and a bowl of their
manhatten clam chowder. sorry for rambling.
