what hospital do you go to??
a friend of mine just passed away 2 weeks ago, he found out he had lung cancer in dec after going to hospitals over and over trying to find out why his back hurt and they just gave him perks and sent him home...he went to an oriental herbalist or something like that and after just feeling him for a minute she told him she wouldn't touch him and to go to a hospital because he might have something seriously wrong so he went and the fools finally found the problem and the cancer was now in his back also, they then drained 3 litres a fluid from his back which caused a lung to collapse and a month later he passed he was only 33.....

I just returned from a doctor's appointment where they read to me the results of my follow-up MRIs. The only bad news is that this set of scans highlighted tumours we didn't already know about and so my total - between brain and spine - is 24 (I thought it was 15.)
But ... there is no 'appreciable change' in ANY of the tumours from my set of scans in September. That means no need to do anything at the moment except watch and wait!
I just can't believe how lucky I am!!! What a whirlwind the past seven months has been ... so happy to finally get some relief!
Thank you to all of you here for the support and wishes. It means so much!!!
I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. That is way too young to die.
I'm currently being seen by a team at Juravinski's Brain Tumour Clinic in Hamilton. At the end of the month I'm meeting with a team at Toronto Western. Since the condition I have is so rare, I'm pretty limited...there are only two neurologists in the province who have experience with it. I'm also flying down to Maryland later in the year to meet with a team at a hospital there where they are doing a natural history study of the condition. I'm very excited to meet with a whole TEAM of docs with that much experience with NF2.
