Before Most Here Were Born

Paul Giel, LH Mn. A true triple threat a term you don't hear much anymore. Up till then & for some time after the only player to ever be Big 10 MVP twice. In 53 he beat Mich almost by himself. 53 consensus AA. He & Bruce Smith, Mn only Heisman winner are the RB's on GG All Time team. He was also one hell of a col. pitcher, signed w/the NYG. My fav. because I saw him play at least 10 times in the 50's when I was a young stud, w/a little blonde on my arm. Aw memories. I know we all have them. Coach LT, let's hear some stories from the "Swamp".

I'm pretty young so I unfortunately didn't get to see guys like Jackson and Walker, but I'll say a couple very recent guys. Reggie Bush and Vince Young. They probably aren't top 20 all time, especially since they only have 1 Heisman between them, but they both absolutely dominated the game. I'd say more so VY because without him no way his team goes anywhere near a NC game, let alone beats one of the best teams I've ever seen in USC. USC could have made it there without Bush since White was one of the best RB's that year also.

Leroy Selmon and Earl Campbell are the two most dominate players at their positions that I've seen in person.

Vince Young circa 2005. He was very good all three years of his college career, but for that one season he was the most dominant player I've ever seen. Amazing physical talent combined with sheer force of will that simply refused to consider a thought of his team losing.

Over the course of an entire college career, and not just one particular season, I'd put Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson and Barry Sanders very high on my own list. All three had a profound effect on how the game was played at the time. (I'm limiting my picks to players active in my own lifetime.)

As much as I dislike the guy, I'm afraid Deion Sanders would be worth consideration on the defensive side of the ball.

I forgot about VY. I remember that OKIE ST game, I was chilling in Iowa City and I'm like damn Texas is losing and you just knew that son of a bitch wasn't gonna let them lose
