Here in Texas, we go to La. to gamble and the Horseshoe in Bossier City does 100X odds in craps...with $5-10 min bets...so a $10 bet can have up to $1000 odds...I personally just might back it up with $25 or $50 depending but it does give us players alittle help..Remember playing in Vegas years ago and all they had were 2 and 3 times odds...whats available downtown at The Golden Nuggett or near there and also and Blackjack info would be apprecialted also........thanx CEDAR

I know the Shoe used to allow 10 times odds, not sure if the Nugget does now. As all serious craps players know odds behind the number are vig-free (rare indeed), so 100 times odds offers a chance to play almost 100% vig free craps. Bet $10 on the pass line then take $1000 odds behind the number making the house hold approximtely a miniscule .002%. Takes guts and money to play this way, but well worth discussion. Don't pass is even less vig. House vig for pass line bet is 1.414% and Don't pass is 1.403%.

The only 100x odds left in Vegas is now at Casino Royale.(A little dump next to Harrah's) Downtown you have 20x odds at Main Street Station. 6/8/10x odds at the Golden Nugget. The Nugget is one of only three casinos(Alladin and Rio) in town that rates the odds. So If you bet $10 on the line with $100 odds you get a $110 average bet. Can't get much better then that.

the golden nugget has 2 tables of old style single deck blackjack which pays 3-2 on blackjack. they have 10X odds on craps.

Main street station ( also downtown) offers 20X odds on craps. they also have a great buffet, if you can get a comp take it.

Plaza used to have 10x odds and $2 minimum tables, but not sure about that anymore. Hard not to find at least 5x odds downtown, they haven't quite been taken "corporate" yet.

One of life's great bargains is a $1 or $2 minimum game with good odds offerings. Your "expense" to the house is about 50 cents an hour if all you do is play $1 on the line with odds. Add in a few come bets and you can get some decent action on the felt for a couple dollars an hour with all the free drinks thrown in.

The Strat is the place to gamble. They have 10X crapless craps, single zero roulette, and some of the better blackjack rules.

Since you will be downtown, you absolutely CAN'T beat the blackjack at the Las Vegas Club. I think you can play your aces when you split them, you can double down on 2 or 3 cards, you get an auotmatic win for 5 cards+ 21. There is more, but it is lost in my memory.

Great info Guys thanx,,,,but couple questions..."crapless craps"...doea that mean no craps on the come out or if on the come line and 10X odds??..if so that sounds too good to be true..must be some catch..must be giving up something...Also said that the Nugget had 6/8/10 X Odds....how is that determined?...Like the single deck BJ and being able to split aces and play and 5+ is winner...sorta like playing in garage when a kid!!!

Crapless craps indeed means no craps on the comeout. The 2,3 and 12 (along with 11) actually become the point, and can, of course, be taken for full 10X odds behind.

Nugget's 6x8x10 odds are 6x for the 4/10, 8x for the 5/9, and 10x in the middle.

Yeah, the Las Vegas Club is unreal with all the rules they have. Last I was there, there were two tables open, and I think the max was $200 per hand.

I also think they allow you to split as many times as you want. Reminds me of a time I was out to piss off the table for some reason or another and split my 10's about 8 times. Won them all. Good times.

Just be warned Crapless Craps have a higher house edge, over 2% if I remember right compared to the 1.4% for regular game. I am too lazy right now to do the math, maybe some else can.

If the 2-3-12 and 11 become points then it seems that the only advantage the player might lose is winning on the 11 on the come out....but maybe missing something...but definitly think that "The House" is not going to do something that would be in the players favor...need some help here to figure out the Houses edge

CC - The house edge increases in that it is harder to make the point on the 2, 3, 11, and 12. Those numbers become points and are the toughest to get.

Yeah but notice crapless only goes in the places they have it. The average player, even though he NEVER bets the don't still knows better than to play this game. If they had a casino with both games, the crapless gets no action.

I remember being stunned back when out of the blue Little Caesars started up with this game. I suppose it was a "thank you" to Mr. Stupak for his million dollar bet, since Bob got royalties on the game. Anyways if you wanted to see three dealers standing around doing nothing, you could go to Little Caesars and see it at this crap table that literally was crap. Considering Little Caesars was where all the wiseguy sports bettors went, guys that played with an edge, Gene must have been crazy to think they would play this bad gamble. Contrary to what people think, top bettors still love craps even though they know its a losing gamble. I have been at crap tables with two World Champions of Poker, a bunch of guys I knew were making mid six figures playing sports, and a guy that I heard was clearing almost $500 an hour playing blackjack. Every one of these guys would accept regular craps, but surely would never play the other game because that was like the house taking advantage of them. That is the attitude all players should have. Its fine to play games that aren't in your favor once in awhile for fun, but don't play a bad game when a better one is easy to find. Don't play double zero roulette when you can get single zero. Don't play 6 deck BJ when you can get a 2 deck game with the same exact rules.

CC,
We've had this discussion here before, about crapless craps vs. regular craps.

DON'T believe the BS about crapless craps having a higher house edge than regular craps! It may be, but WTF gives a damn? That is only referring to your pass line bet. Say you bet $5 on the pass line, and back it up with 100X odds. Their is no dispute that the $500 odds bet is the best bet in all Vegas...NO VIG!!!! The beauty of crapless craps is that in every 36 comeout rolls (theoretically at least) you will win 6 times with a seven, and you will have 30 chances to make a point where you can take maximum odds at no VIG. Best bet in all of Vegas and the Strat is not that far from downtown, but don't try walking from the Golden Nugget....that is the worst bet in all Vegas!

I have not been to SAMSTOWN in about a year, but last time I was there they offered 100X odds. Does anyone know if that has changed?
