I do agree with your statements about Patrick. Although I never read his books or viewed his tapes, I did see his shows every once in a while. At first, I thought that he might be of some help, however, it didn't take long for him to rub me the wrong way. He seemed cocky, giving me the impression that he really didn't win gambling. I probably spent more attention watching that raccoon on his head, wondering when it was going to wake up or get hungry. Needless to say, I didn't watch many more of his shows, and just didn't want to waste time on his tapes or books.

Even better than his Sportsbetting, is his "Money Management" book-- talks about all types of betting in all types of sports / casino games....

edit: here's his whole list of books, offers 1/3 discount:

if it's just one or two books you need, depending how you present yourself, he may just mail them to you with a bill, then you mail payment back.

A lot of the books by the other authors listed, you can get them through Amazon or Borders websites: as they scan the stocks of many independents(get from them, not from Amazon itself)... you can often get a brand new book for just $2-- may have been a print overrun, a slight jacket imperfection(like Irregular clothing), etc. Amazon will guarantee the product gets to you, handles refunds / exchanges........

Cache22, Just starting the Odds by C. Milman later this week...It was recommended on this site earlier in the Summer and I put it on my list......I try and read a fiction and then a non-fiction....I just finished "The Davinci Code" and now time for "The Odds".

I hope all you guys aren't as far behind as me on reading projects; seems this time of year there is so much to keep up with.

Good Thread, G

I remember in '85, hearing the rumor that Rozelle had multi six-figures moved on Chi over NE for the SB a week before the game..must be why his office is located in NYC?!

Patterson, Wong, Manteris, Roxy,Miller,etc..all are important reads for those interested in the industry.

Great calls above, and if looking for an MACRO-view/market angle of NFL betting as mentioned by WildBill, read the dated yet good "Interference" by Dan Moldea, and "The National Football Lottery" by Larry Merchant.

And most importantly, I as I'm sure many here are, awaiting Scotty'S book and stories, as he truely has shown by previous posts, that incredibly keen eye for minutiae(a most imperative skill of great BMs/Bettors/Cappers & also Authors)..please notify us when in print Scotty.
