early season vs later season bases betting..???

it seems to me that a lotta cappers get hot early or about 25% thru the season; then after all star break; they cool off a little; and the books seem to ketch up a tad...??

anyone else notice a seasonality to bases betting???

My hottest time of the year is April 1st till May 1st. And then when interleague starts till Auguest 10th. If you only count those plays last season I was close to 150+ units. After September 1 its a crap shoot. I was +100 units in the month of July alone.

May was brutal for me. I lost almost 30 units in May alone.

April +30
May -30

July +100

everything else about even.

One important thing as a guy who bets his share of high favorites

As the lines fly up towards gametime on the heavy favorites Pinny consistantly has the lowest line and crap books can have 30 cent more.

Say Stl -206 overnight and goes up to 240 at pinny by gametime. Likely 265 at most books even good ones then.

The 3 best books for bases are Pinny, Mansion and 5dimes. I bet almost exclusively totals, and there hasn't been a time where I haven't had the best price in one of the 3 shops.
Also, I hate the interleague betting wise;o(((

no props for the greek in bases? and it would seem that 5 dimes with its nickel overnite lines would be the best...i plan on using 3 books for the mlb season.

I've wondered for a while why no one likes matchbook.com?

How's the liquidity at Matchbook for bases? (Or US sports in general) I've never tried the place but I'm hearing nothing but good things about them.

And who's the chick in your avatar?

The wait time on withdraw/deposit is like 30 minutes. The one negative I see is that they don't offer parlays or other exotic betting styles, bonuses, and their lines are posted last.

I'm not sure who the chick is. She advertises for some book I think.

I agree that a lot of cappers start out the season very strong, and seem to cool off a bit as more games are in the books. I think it comes down to being able to better handicap the teams early on with all of the free agent moves and trades. If you can analyze the teams early on, before it becomes obvious, you will definitely prosper in April and May.

I think Bucs had a MONSTER run in Aug or Sept last year. So that might not be true for everyone.
