It seems like everyone in the Media has been telling us how superior the Big 12 was this year compared to all other conferences. I think from top to bottom this might be true. However I think that it is very very close ! Florida and Alabama are great as are Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. Both have their bottom dwellers but on any given day the other teams in both conferences can be very tough. A quick look at their bowl records indicate that there are not a bunch of pushovers in either conference.
going into the season most experts liked Georgia, USC, Florida and Oklahoma. Well 3 out of 4 is not all that shabby ! Where was Texas and Alabama ? Generally speaking nobody thought they were quite ready to challenge the top tier teams because of their youth. However both teams have come along way ahead of schedule. Look out next year but I'm still of the opinion that Florida, USC and Oklahoma are the cream of the crop this year. I know Texas beat Oklahoma but I believe if these 2 teams played 10 times this year... Oklahoma would win 6 or 7 games. JMHO
Too bad We couldn't have a 4 team playoff this year with Florida, USC, Texas and Oklahoma. BCS sucks ! It makes all the other bowl games meaningless. I like Florida over Oklahoma. Florida/USC ? Pick Em !

Yes the PAC-10 has Washington and WSU but Oregon St., Oregon, California, Arizona, USC and on a good day ASU can compete with any of these conferences.

Between the two, the SEC is better then the Big 12. They play defense.

Florida's lone 1 point loss to Mississippi doesn't look so bad after Miss. pretty much dominated the same Texas Tech team that beat Texas. Perhaps the Big 12 isn't as good top to bottom as the SEC ! Florida beats oklahoma ! I remember earlier how so many posters were telling us what a terrible team Miss. was.

Got down on Florida at -3 (-110) a couple of weeks ago and have stated a couple of times here that it is without question my strongest play of the year. The line is finally starting to move off 3 as 3.5 is beginning to show at some outs. This game will not, and I repeat, will not be that close.

I've been fading the B12 in the bowls and doing well. SEC is the cream of the crop yet again.

I have some big time $$ on Florida at 15/1 to win the BCS but instead of covering, so far I bought some -3 -110 also. If it goes to -4 which I fully expect it to, I will buy some Oklahoma at + 4 1/2 and go for a nicer profit by perhaps collecting a middle. I have decent $$ on Oklahoma at 8/1 and a little at 15/1 ! Just play the game and I collect ! Steak and Lobster no matter who wins !
BTW Florida -3 was still available around town here in

Nobody lost any $$ betting the Pac 10 this bowl season either. No question that the Pac 10 was down but not as bad as fans seemed to think.
