a 3 to 1 favorite, i had moorer who was leading on all 3 scorecards, 2 by a margin of 5 and in the 10th round that asshole gets knocked out. afterwards the ref, joe cortez, said he was even thinking of stopping the fight against foreman, if foreman didn't start fighting. how i wish joe cortez stopped that fight.

That same game my buddy was in the sportsbook at the Mirage and had Duke -4. He threw his ticket in the trash with a minute remaining. When they came back and tied it, he had to go through the stinking trash to find his ticket.

Of course, the bet ended up losing anyhow.

Had a college hoop game that was +12 on the side I needed! I had the ball and up 3 points with 7 seconds left in the game. Who can you lose if you are up 15 (counting the spread), with the ball and only 7 seconds left? I am pissed I did not bet the money line as I am adding up all my winnings. What happens next? The guy inbounding the ball throws it away and then fouls the guy who stole it as the shot goes in. An old fashioned 3 point play that ties it up at the buzzer. Game goes to OT and I lose by 14.

My absolute worst was Rhonde Barber picking off Chandler w/ 20 seconds to go in the game and running back the int for a score to cost me a 7 teamer about 4 or 5 years ago...took the whole next day to repair all the broken furniture...

The ABSOLUTE worst that I've ever seen on this board was by a poster last year (kidslick maybe????) in one of the contests here...in the 10 team parlay contest, he got 9 of 10 and lost on that Carolina/Saints game when they ran the fumble back on the last play of the game...

You should do what I do, watch games in a room with not much in it but a TV and couch, that way you won't break too much stuff.

Wasn't actually me, but i was there.

We were playing 15-30 hold'em, my friend picked up pocket aces and gets the full press on them. Meanwhile the cook drops off his late night sandwich and places it on a table next to him. Well of course the aces get snapped on the river by rags. But after he's done puking, he turns to get his sandwich. But he wasn't fast enough, a dog is already eating on it and runs off with the loot. That's a bad beat.
