Does anyone have experience using an application/service that gives access to live odds at the sportsbooks in Las Vegas? There seems to be many that don't deliver as advertised or mostly provide online odds.

Thank you

Vegasinsider is what I use. They have live odds for all the books in Reno and Vegas. They even have Cantor now.

I use Vegas Insider as well but I am pretty sure it is on a 2 minute delay.

SportsOptions is a million times better than DB, and less expensive. I work at SO and see both firsthand on a daily basis. It's not even close between the two over the last 1-1.5 years.

If you need live odds I can hook you up with a deal. If you don't care about the critical notices on important players that go out before sportsbooks can move their odds, the middle alert features, the daily umpires/refs/lineups/injury reports, etc and just want the odds than maybe something free like VegasInsider.com will work for you.

If you want to check us out you can go to SportsOptions.com and sign up for a free trial. Email your username to jaket@sportsoptions.com and I'll tell you what specials I can do for RX posters. That deal is good for any of you who see this as well.

Does sports options have all the vegas books?

We have tons of them. I can't think of any off hand that we don't have. Just found out a few days ago that we have Jerry's on the screen which is a Vegas book I've never even heard of. T.I., Mirage/MGM, Stations, LVH/Hilton, Southpoint, Caesars, Wynn, Atlantis, Strat ummmmmmm WillHill. There's probably more. Will take a look at the screen when I get home in an hour but we have a ton of Vegas books as well as a ton of offshore books.

Also let me correct that post. Reno is right if you want VegasInsider live odds you have to pay. I was just referring to the fact you could check out cached odds on their website. No idea how long those go without updating though. Not sure. If you need updated numbers you'll probably want to check SO out.

I see that the real time updates are $299..... am I missing something?

If it's set up anything like SportsOptions we have professional service which is live odds or standard service which is a 1.5 minute delay on odds. $200 difference between the 2. The professional is for people who want to hear that an important player is out and get the odds before books are able to move them. Or maybe for those who see all the books start to move at once for no reason at all and assume it's a syndicate play or whatnot and get odds at their book before the move. If you have the money to spend the more expensive package is a moneymaker with the right know-how, but even with our standard odds you'll still hear about key injuries/news way before it hits ESPN and the like.

They have a $99 live odds option too that doesn't have all the other perks, I use the free odds only so not sure what it all comes with. I don't chase steam or anything like that and cap my own action so I don't really need all the other stuff. The free odds are almost always accurate at the books I use within a couple of minutes.
