Best advice to a book in this day and age- PAY FAST and advertise you do!!

This thread is dedicated to all offshore books out there.

If I ran a book I would go out of the way to make this a guarntee that we paid faster then any book out there. This is all people want nowadays. They dont want the run around or made to feel bad if they call and ask for their money.

I have dealt with quite a few books in the past 2 years and this is the major thing (IMO) books just dont get right. Do whatever it takes to pay people fast.

I would advertise this up and down. Dont worry about bonuses, props you offer, etc. People want to be able to make 1 phone call and have their money fast, the same day in their hands.

You would be surprised how many books get this right and how many so called good books just dont understand this.

No matter how little someone wins. I would put it in big letters in all my advertising that we guarantee pay faster than anyone in the business. Tell them please call us right when you win for your money. Make people feel good about asking for a w/d. I know this sounds stupid but I swear it works. It helps me when I decide where I am going to re-up. I look at the places that paid fastest and with a smile and I keep going back to them.

bet first class is doing just that on the forums now. I think picking up a few new accounts....problem for some might be might be "pay fast" is not all that easy (esp if your a big shop and processing hundreds of payment requests a day) and if you say it and then miss it it really hurts...

Iceman...first thing you should do is to get your ass down here to Costa Rica and I will take you on a tour of a few books...then you will understand what the books are up against...your words sound good, but there are other factors involved...

Take a few bucks of your winnings and come down...it is not as easy as you think...what the books can do, is to improve customer relations and be nicer to offshore gamblers...

With the state of processors and such, no book can guarantee when money will be sent...

I understand your point and agree that the quicker a book can get a players funds to him after a withdrawal request the better. The problem is the financial institutions that are available to the Offshore industry at the present time. Losing Neteller created a huge problem for many solid books when it comes to paying winners as quickly as they would like.

Sure a book can advertise that "We pay faster than anyone in the business" but before they can say that they must have the apparatus in place to make the statement a viable one. When the new legislation passed in 2006 some books were able to maintain old relationships with processors while others had to start from scratch and find new and hopefully reliable and capable financial processors. No mean feat in today's legal climate when it comes to Offshore Sportsbooks.

The problem today is many banks have cold feet when it comes to dealing with Offshore Books (allegedly illegal gambling) that want to transfer funds to addresses inside the US.

I deal with books nearly everyday and they all wish they could pay within the 24 hours you mention but unfortunately a replacement for Neteller has not appeared as of today. Not to mention the bigger the book the more difficult the task also as banks have limits on the amount of funds they can handle in a regular business day.

All of the veteran and experienced books understand that the faster they pay the happier their players will be, ordinary common sense in any business where clientele for one reason or another are due money from time to time from that business.

Many people wait months for rebates from purchases they make in large retail outlets knowing they will sooner or later receive their check. The same is true with all long standing reputable offshore books. All of the well established books will eventually pay their players but some simpply do not have the banking connections that others do.

Transfering funds from offshore to the US is no longer the piece of cake it once was. All a book has to do is look at it's present volume and what their volume was in 2006 to realise that fact.

Your scenario of People wanting to be able to make 1 phone call and have their money fast, the same day in their hands is quite naturally an ideal one but unfortuantely in today's enviornment not a realistic one.

Until there is a solution to the processor problems, most of the industry will stay stagnant or will have to adjust almost all their business to a credit situation.

It isn't as much of a problem being paid fast as it is security and not jumping through hoops to get your money to them and getting it out.

We are living in an age of laziness. People like to swipe that card and buy or do what they want. Who would have known we would have been able to roll out of our cars and slip a credit card in a gas pump.

The industry is going to credit just like it started.

great post...........and 99% of all solid offshore books started with a solid credit base.........not just opening up shop and taking depsoits ,they are a dieing breed

It's obviously not as cut and dry as making a call and sending out the payment. But, how do explain shops sending out checks and getting them within 7 days and others like sportsbook who say it's gonna be upwards of 60 days? Shouldn't the books have the same obstacles in getting checks to US customers? Why the huge difference between all of them? If it really takes 60 days, everyone should be taking 60 days.

Let me get something straight first off. This post wasnt meant as a critiscism to anyone. I am telling you (sportsbooks) what people are talking about and how they feel. That was it. I talk all day to people about this.

My point of the post was to express to the books what people want and if I ran a book everything in my power would be directly focused on this subject, nothing else matters as much. This is what and where the current focus needs to be directed at. More people will play offshore if they feel this way. I talk to people everyday who play offshore and this is all anyone talks about.

Once again I am not being negative as you wont see that out of me when it comes to this subject. Maybe I should have titled the thread "If you ran a book what would you try and do". This would be priority #1 was my point, that is it.

I am 100% sure all trying hard. I for one have never doubted any of that. I am not even complaining about the current setup as it is. If anything I am probably one of the most positive supporters of this current climate and the whole offshore world.

The reason I did this thread is I have spent half the day moving money around and you just get a feeling certain places go above and beyond and make you feel like they want to pay you (though I am sure they probably dont). That was my point again, make people think you enjoy paying them and your happy they are winning. It is so importnat.

I could go on and on about stories I deal with on a weekly basis from books and never peep a word to anyone about, espically the bad ones. Nobody is right or wrong here. I am just stating to others what I have heard from a ton of players. Bottom line you show me a book that acts like it is doing all it can to pay me and doing it with a smile and I will keep going back and back and back.
