That trend dates back to the late 1980's, I think its safe to say that this years edition of the Bengals is much better than they have been in past years...
...as a side note going into last weeks' game at Baltimore Denver had won 12 of their previous 14 games in straight up fashion when the total placed on the game was between 35.5 and 42 and the Bronco's were also 4-0 straight up in their previous four outings against teams that hale from the AFC North...yet they lost by a 30-7 margin at Baltimore.
Trends are a tool, sometimes a flat-head screw driver won't do when a philips head is needed, there are many tools in a tool box and they should all be used, relying solely on a certain trend or a certain statistic will in the end cause more loses than wins. The trick is to find the games in which the match ups, the trends, and the statistics all converge in my humble opinion.
Take care and be well my friend
