http://www.monex.com

Call them and they'll explain everything to you. They have all types of precious metals. They'll send you everything you need in order to trade or invest. Also, they will be working with you. If you are planning to trade, they have their own technical chart analysis. They are located in Newport Beach. Very solid company, they've been in business for 40 years. Good Luck!!

edit// I actually just talk to them myself. We are looking for something less volatile to play with for the long term. I'm probably going to visit their offices next week...

I have used APMEX for all my PM investments. As my interest is for investments they have done right by me. I can not comment on how they are for trading purposes. They are usually the closest to spot I can find (I still check other places for comparisions) and the transaction go quickly and smoothly.

Apmex is the way to go.

I saw that they just recently got a gold coin from 1906..it is going for a cool $89500.

Guys, I second/third the vote for Apmex and must caution against using Monex. Their prices and policies are ridiculous last time I shopped them. This goes for virtually any dealer you see advertising on national tv or via direct mail.

First Question Gold beginners ask is "Best Places to Buy Gold"

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well! As someone with experience in gold investing, I often get asked about the best places to buy gold. Whether you're a seasoned investor or just starting out, finding a reputable source is crucial. Here are some tips and recommendations for where to buy gold:

1) Online Dealers: Online platforms are convenient and often offer competitive prices. Some well-known and reputable online dealers include APMEX, Bold precious metals , and JM Bullion. Make sure to check customer reviews and verify their certifications before making a purchase.

2) Local Coin Shops: Visiting a local coin shop can provide a hands-on experience. You can inspect the gold before buying and get advice from knowledgeable staff. It's also easier to establish a relationship with a local dealer for future purchases and sales.

3) Banks: Some banks sell gold coins and bars, offering a secure and trustworthy option. However, they might have higher premiums compared to other sources.

4) Auctions and Estate Sales: Occasionally, gold can be found at auctions or estate sales. While this can be a way to find unique pieces, it requires careful research and sometimes a bit of luck to find good deals.

5) Precious Metals Exchanges: These platforms facilitate buying and selling gold directly between investors. They often offer lower premiums but require a good understanding of the market.

6) Refinery Direct: Buying directly from a gold refinery can sometimes offer better prices, but it's typically more suitable for larger investments.

7) Avoiding Scams: Always be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true. Verify the authenticity of the dealer and avoid unverified sellers from online marketplaces or classified ads.

8) Storage Considerations: Think about where you will store your gold. Some dealers offer secure storage options, while others might recommend third-party vaults.

I hope these tips help you in your search for where to buy gold. If you have any other recommendations or experiences, please share them! Let's help each other make informed decisions in our gold investments.

Bought ten, 10 ounce bars of Siver during Covid.
Prices have almost doubled, but I doubt I can sell the bars for double.
