Gruden sensed a disaster this year, so he is bailing out now, and giving himself a decent chance when they head to Las Vegas. Gutless move, though, as he is basically trying to buy some time. Oakland has a chance to go 4 and 12 this year. I'd still like to see Gruden do well, but now he can't win, because if they are decent, then people will blame Gruden for not keeping Mack, and if they are terrible, he will get even more blame. There is almost no chance to win at this point, unless they win the Super Bowl. Anything less, and Mack will be seen as the difference between good and great.

From the Bears perspective they're getting one of the top defensive player's in the NFL and all of his guaranteed $$ will have been paid out by the time they have to give Trubisky his 2nd contract if he proves to be the QB of the future. If Roquan Smith ends up being a solid draft pick the Bears front 7 is going to be pretty wicked over the next few years.
The Bears are 1 player away from being a pretty good team though. That player is just at the most important position, QB. If Trubisky is good then it'll likely be a good deal. If he isn't, then Oak is gonna get 2 pretty nice picks.
Probably best division in the league but you can't really factor that into your decision making too much.
