[h=1]Bears Player Reportedly Throws Helmet In Disgust[/h] by Scott Allen 21m ag
It was a tough day in Foxboro for the Chicago Bears on Sunday. They fell behind 45-7 at one point before losing 51-23 to the New England Patriots. The NFL saw a few blowouts on Sunday but this may have been the most shocking. It got so bad one Bears player reportedly threw his helmet during the game.
More From NFL
The Bears player who did it remains nameless but it was reported by Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver and then also on si.com later on. The incident apparently happened after Bears quarterback Jay Cutler fumbled in the first-half.
Rewind to last week when the Bears lost at home to the Miami Dolphins and then receiver Brandon Marshall went off on his teammates in the locker room afterwards behind closed doors and also off on Cutler in a post-game interview.
The report of what happened in the locker room was disputed by Bears coach Marc Trestman and Cutler said the comments weren’t directed at him. However now add this on top of that and it certainly seems like things are falling apart for a 3-5 team that some had very high expectations for this season.
Maybe the Bears bye week next week will help right the ship but the competition gets no easier as they face the currently 5-2 Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football. At this point though, it certainly seems the Bears are headed nowhere fast.
