Looks like the Bears defense may be back to it's Super Bowl form. Maybe they'll blow it today and I can get my win, but this team looks scary good on that side of the ball. Looks to be the best defense in football so far this season. We'll see. I guess those pompous assholes were right when they said they could flip a switch.

PS. Forte looks fucking dynamite. Where did this kid come from?

Yea, its hard to believe the books were giving them more than a field goal.

Hell the Bears may not give up three points. This team just looks fast and dominant again. We'll see as the year and game goes on but if they stay healthy a lot of people could be looking stupid for doubting them; me included.

Slow down, this team won't even make the playoffs.

If they start 2-0 on the Road against Indy and Carolina I'd be willing to bet you any amount of money that they make the playoffs. If they win this game and continue dominating I will surrender my pre-season prediction that they'd win 6 games and put them around 10. This teams defense just looks dominating.

If they start 2-0 get back to me and I'll gladly discuss a large wager on that.

they've given up 40 yrds on 17 plays for Carolina, real impressive so far with a 4 mins to go in the half.

The East is going to take at least 2, if not 3, playoff spots. The Packers will take the North (please don't challenge this) and then there's the improving South and terrible West divisional winners. The last playoff spot is going to come down to either the 3rd place team in the East or the 2nd place team in the South, there'll be no room for the Bears who'll be lucky to go .500. I love Forte but Chicago's shaky QB play will ultimately get exposed and, as a result, I doubt the defense will continue playing this well either once they're forced to be on the field longer when the offense sputters.

Why? Have you watched their two games? Just wondering. What leads you to think that the West is better than the Bears? The Bears have played well so far against two VERY quality teams on the Road. If they win today and shut them down in the second half they will have been the most impressive team in the NFL so far this year.

If they start 2-0 I will bet you any amount of money that they finish 500 or above.

Indy hasn't scored a point yet in th Minnestoa game. So maybe soe of this is the Indy inept offense.

Huh, where did I say that the West is better than the Bears? Please re-read my prior post.

I meant the South my apologies.

Also Ice it's very different to be playing the Colts at home and the Colts on the road.

I told people before the season the Bears would either be really really good or really really bad. I think they are the former. Double digit wins for the Bears.

Now you changed your argument. You just said 5 minutes earlier:

Which is it, .500 or the playoffs? Do you even know where you currently stand on the Bears' outlook for this year, or will that opinion possibly change yet again should Carolina come out and score a TD in the 3rd Qtr? Or if the Bears extend their lead, will you change your bet again to include a Super Bowl appearance?

Did you also miss where I said that the Bears could go .500? Again, slooooooooow down, we're half way through week 2 and the Bears aren't scaring anyone. Peyton Manning shouldn't even be playing yet because he's still 20 lbs underweight and the Colts' horrid offensive output proves this, and Steve Smith is missing today's game as well, which just so happens to be the two best players on each respective team you've faced so far. You're obviously an excited Bear fan, no problem, but a reality check is in order here.

Barring devastating injuries, which are always possible, the Bears are a playoff team.

Why don't you read what you wrote bud? You said they'd be lucky to finish above .500 so I said I'd bet you on that as well. I was responding to what you said.

Like I said, the Bears won't make the playoffs and will be extremely lucky to finish .500. Don't tear-up your team total Bears Under 6 wins ticket, this team is going absolutely nowhere.

Now you're just being emotional. If you can't handle discussion and a reality check, log off.

This team will not make the playoffs and their fans need to slow down and see what's right in front of them. Poor starting QB with awful depth at the position, dreadful WR's, young backfield, aging overrated defense at key positions, and poor coaching. And they'd be 0-2 had Manning not come down with a brutal knee infection. Just facts here, deal with them.

Agree with a lot you said but can you answer one thing?

Where are they aging on defense? Their D-Line is young and talented. Their secondary, outside of Mike Brown, is relatively young and Lance Briggs and Hunter are still young. Urlacher is old but doesn't look like he's lost a step to be honest. He still may be the best in the game.
