Just watching CNN ; while Hurricane Gustav starting to make lanfall; They announce: All beaches are closed..!!!

Now; that's some usefull info; while 135 mph winds and water going over the levees.

Thanks for the heads up, we were just getting the in the car and planning on spending the day at the beach. I mean I had heard about the hurricane, but I figured why let is spoil a fun day at the beach.

As a kid in Hawaii we used to go to the North Shore and run into these 30 ft waves after they broke and let them push us back up on the beach,until the life guards came down and asked us if we were nuts and that the beach was closed.

even down here in s flor the rip currents are brutal. two people from n dakota decided to go for a swim in the atlantic, both found dead
