I have been backing Gallardo from start number one. This kid is no fluke, he was a highly anticipated prospect that should be respected as a top tier pitcher already. the Brewers have their best lineup IMO out there today and should take care of business.

The pitching stats are from Covers. The back end of the Cardinal bullpen is one of the top tier pens in the National league. Anybody who doesn't know that hasn't been paying attention this year. But again stats can be made to say what you want. Just like Milwaukees' closer Cordero. His era is 3.38. But in his last 3 games it's 15.00. At home it is 0.33 but on the road it is 8.62. For the Cards, Izzy has a era of 1.49. At home 0.43 era. On the road 2.53 era. I could go on but you can believe what you want.

Gallardo has never faced the Cards.
Cards batting .274 against RHP
Mil batting .252 against RHP
Brewers batting .220 against Wells
Wells doesn't have enough quality starts to back him.
Gallardo has only 41 innings in so far.
Who knows what will happen when he faces Pujols.

Gallardo has never faced the Cards.

Thats an advantage for Gallardo...not the Cards. They haven't seen his stuff yet.
