My local just moved it to 5. I can't get a handle on these two team, but 5 seems like alot of points here.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I think Maryland wins by 8 or so. Probably a no-play for me, but I think with Maryland getting blown out by Duke and people still thinking BC is great because they beat NC ... makes me want to play Maryland in this spot. I don't think BC is a very good team

I probably wont play it, but I would lean to BC +5. Maryland of course just got their teeth kicked in by Duke, but a lot of teams will, and they are better than they played. But, 5 points is a lot here with this BC team. If they play like they can, they cover this, and may win outright.
But, still probably a no play for me.

Thanks jbragg and word,

The more I look at it, it is shaping up to a no play as well. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Maryland has not been going to the glass very well in recent games, nor have they shot the ball well. BC is Jekyll/Hyde. I agree that there may be some reidual setiment from the Duke loss. I had capped it closer to 2 and when it moved from 4 to 5 thought there might be value, but the two teams are way too inconsistant for me to cap correctly.

Lean is on BC, but I haven't locked them in yet. I'm not a believer if you get blown out the previous game you will come up firing the next game. If anything it shows you are playing horrible. Maryland is a one man show with Vasquez as if he doesn't have a good game they usually lose. He has really struggled his last 3 games as he is averaging 8.67 points and shooting 24% from the field. BC runs through Rice just like Vasquez, but they have a better starting lineup around him. Trapani has given them a presence inside as he is averaging 16.75 points with 9 rebounds his last 4 games. Sanders is becoming a better player too as he is averaging 15 points his last 3 games. BC won last year in Maryland 71-68 and that Maryland team had guys like Gist and Osby who graduated.

Line should be a PK and +5 is looking strong to me right now as I like them to win outright.

I like Maryland at home giving five. Both of these teams are pretty weak, but BC is bad, and expect Maryland to come out sharp after getting destroyed @ Duke.

Is Boston College really the better team? I would say Maryland is the better of the two.

BC beat UNC on the road so they have a decent amount of talent. Rice is one of the better players in the ACC and Trapani is better than any Maryland inside player.

Maryland beat Michigan St. early in the year when they were struggling, but Maryland IMO hasn't beaten a decent team since that game.

I expect it to be a close game and I will take the points here.

Maryland is the better team. 5 is too many though. The value is on BC +5.
