It's cool that your dabbling in the NBA Dizz. I've been doing something similar to what you're doing. The first couple weeks I've been gathering info, looking for trends, etc... I play a game here and there but starting last night I have been picking all the games I like and seeing how many hit to see what kind of percentage capping I am since I don't usually bet NBA. I have been following it though and I seem to be doing pretty good. I do always check your college football picks and I don't post alot but I am always checking for info. You are solid in your college picks for sure. It is funny to me how corny alot of people on this site are when someone has success. It's ridiculous too. Well anyways. back to NBA.

Last night's picks I had:
Minn (played) Won
Utah Won
Atlanta Won
(Didn't play these games, wish I did. Kept track for my capping record. Only played Minn)

Tonight:
Por (played) Won
Atl Won
LA Lakers Won

Sac (pending)
Hou (pending)
I played only Por and had the rest in a 4 team parlay.

The thing that I have seemed to notice so far is that dogs are gold in the NBA. I love betting dogs and that may seem simple but there seem to be a high percentage of dogs hitting every night. Away dogs cover 56% of the time, home dogs 55.5%. Dogs in general cover 55.91% and favs 44.09%. Those numbers are as of Monday night. If you wanna work together and try to crush the NBA I'm with ya because I believe there is some serious money to be made here. I realize I will not be this hot every night but I will post my picks on here and see how they look. I am feeling good about the way I am seeing games right now though.

Hit last 2 games. Forgot to mention that I played Sac small, had them in a parlay also.

Tonight's Picks:
Por-1 (Won)
Sac+7.5(Won)

Parlay:
Sac+7 (Won)
Hou+4(Won)
Atl+10 (Won)
LA L +1.5 (Won)

Had all dogs except for Portland and they started out as a dog but the line moved them as favs. All the dogs I picked tonight won straight up except Atlanta and they blew a big lead. Very nice night. I am still tracking my record so I will take it easy tomorrow also. Prob pick 1 or 2 games flat and a small parlay again. I will post my picks later tonight b/c I won't be around much tomorrow.

Because that's when i saw this thread. Didn't realize Dizz started it until when I posted. I know it looks sketchy since I posted late. You don't have to believe me that those were my picks, it doesn't matter to me. I am keeping track for my personal use. I will post my picks on tomorrow's games. There are only 3 games but I will post at least one.

You should make your own thread in the NBA forum. Looks like you know what you're doing.

I will go to the NBA forum and post my picks also. The only game I have a line for tonight so far is Denver +6 @ Cle. I don't like that game but something is telling me Cleveland blows them out if i had to bet I'd prob go Cle but I'd rather find a good dog to play.

always glad to have more opinions in the NBA forum, jetro if your being honest which i assume you are looks like you have a solid way of capping games, but a word of warning: NBA is a lot like baseball, in the sense that as the season wears on, you will see days, possibly weeks where it looks like all the dogs are barking, only to be reversed when every favorite is covering, with confusion and semi-chaos in between. There is a reason why many people claim the NBA to be the hardest league to cap (I happen to disagree, but that's beside the point). Anyways, best of luck to you in the future sir and looking forward to discussing plays in the NBA forum

Tonight's picks:

Dallas-2
GS +5

As of now I don't like these enough to play but these are who I would pick. GS is still in option since I have until 10:35. I may end up throwing down on it.

Miamiboy, I know dogs aren't going going to hit so frequently all season, the lines are going to get sharper and it will be more clear who the good teams and the bad teams are as the season goes on. But I try to look for the best dogs on the board and throw down on them. You have to figure that most nights some dogs and some favs are going to cover. You just have to find the right ones. I guess that's the name of the game.

my only concern about the det game is that there is 70+ percent on det...does that make any difference???? usually does.

What is your concern? 73% on Detroit makes me wanna play Golden State even more. I would rather be on other side of public personally. Might play GS, still thinking about it.
