Wood vs Ortiz

Game 1 Tuesday night...Guys this series should be great. I notice that the popular pick is Atlanta in game 1. I like the Cubs. In the month of Sept Kerry Wood was 3-1 with a 1.00 ERA. During the same time Russ Ortiz was 3-2 with an era of 4.50. Wood has been better all year on the road. Sosa, Grudz, Alou, Aramis, and Karros are hitting a combined .344 with 4 hmrs off of Ortiz, while on the other hand CJones, AJones, Lopez, Castilla, and Shef are a combined .180 with 1 hr off of Wood. I have to go with the hotter team...and hotter pitcher here getting odds.

Santana vs Mussina

Mussina has absolutely dominated the Twins in his career to the tune of a 20-2 record with a 2.78 era. Both pitchers have been excellent, and both lineups are full of strikeout candidates which makes it hard for big innings. I like the under in this matchup.

I'm staying away from the Giants and Fish.

agree lab, if i were to touch fla/sf...i would be on the fish..they can cause havoc on the basepaths...and that giant lineup dosent' scare me too much.

Well missed the Cubs/Braves over, but game played out as an over game..just didn't get there. Thats the way it goes sometimes. Hit the Sammy prop.

Guys for early game today, I love the OVER 8.5. This game went over last night with the two ACES on the mound. Oak is a little more high scoring during the day. Oak has to be more charged up after winning like that last night..and we know the bosox lineup dosen't need any charging up. I see one of these teams going over the total by themselves.

Game 1 I am going with the Fish. Both teams are playing well, with a great deal of confidence. Neither team is a high scoring team, both dominate with pitching. Game 1 features a matchup of Zambrano vs Beckett. First of all the Cubs are a team that tends to strikeout ALOT. Beckett is a strikeout pitcher. Zambrano is a sinkerballer which results in alot of groundballs. With the speed in this lineup defense is going to be at a premium. The Cubs defense isn't the best, especially lacking at 3B. Look for the rabbits at top of lineup to test the efficiancy of Ramirez. The Cubs were very aggressive on the bases vs the Braves. The Fish have Pudge behind the plate, and don't foget about Encarnacion in right field. These guys are the best at taking care of over aggressive runners. All in all..i think the Fish are a very pesky team that will cause havoc on the bases..and this is their best oppty to steal one in Wrigley. I like the Cubs to win the series, but i'll wait to see if the Cubs do in fact lose game 1 the adjusted series price will be a better value. I will let you know about some props that might have value. Wait on taking the fish as everyone will be pounding the Cubs up till gametime I'm sure. Right now i see +120...but should go higher.

Ok guys 9-4 +572 thus far i believe...Wednesday:

I'm took the Cubs to wins series..adj price -110 at Oly.(4 units)

I am going to hedge that with the Fish tonight at +227 at pinny. (2 units)

If cubs win this game you basically have 2 units on the cubs at -110 in a 5 game series with wood going twice and prior going once. This has value. If the fish win tonight you make a couple of bucks..your series play is probably dead...but you are covered..if the cubs do come back and win...its all bonus.

also find value in the Fish to score first tonight at +140 at ABC.

I'll probably be back with the Yanks game.
