Just got back from the band concert and it looks like I can go to bed early. 2 winners, one loser and an unfortunate push for me on the cubs under 7. They scored 2 runs in the top of the ninth. It is stuff like that makes me hate baseball sometimes. Thats why they call it gambling.
The wind must really have been blowing out in Kansas City, that game was over before it started barely. I don't use weather in my baseball handicapping.
I just told this story to Baker yesterday. I had a tip once that a huge storm was going to hit Kansas City about two hours before a football game on Sunday night, I was going to put 10 dimes on the under based solely on this information. I called a friend of mine in KC and asked him about this info. He told me and I quote "It's ideal weather here for a football game". So I passed on the game thinking maybe the storm wasn't quite on the same track or had died down. I turned on the game about 2 minutes into the second quarter. I have never seen it rain so hard in my entire life. The water is pouring down the stands onto the field. It look like each aisle had two fire hydrants throwing water off them. It was amazing. The refs stopped the first half with five minutes to play because it was raining so hard, hoping after the halftime it would just be raining not pouring. Lets just say it would have been one of the easiest 10 dimes I ever made. My KC source hears this story about 10 times a year. In fact I told him if I needed a weather report in KC for the up coming naseball series I wouldn't call him!!! I will never let him live this down!!
I am out of town this weekend golfing. Not 100% sure if I will have games for the next series. Depends on how things go on Wednesday. I might have Baker or MG Man post them for me if I get a chance to handicap them.
As Always Good Luck
