I have Cleveland -1 1/2 runs vs Pittsburgh.....Game tied in the bottom of the ninth, Cleveland batting with runners on second and third. Batter gets a hit which bounces onto the outfield turf and over the fence, which in a typical situation is a ground rule double, two runs score.
What about in this particular situation. A home run automatically scores three runs, game over. However, in this scenario, I say just one run scores....once the ball hits the ground and the runner from third crosses home plate, game over!.
I have a case of Killians riding on the correct answer. Called three umpires tonight, and well....here I am, posing the same question to the RX gang.
