Hey Pete I got a betting strategy I would like for you to look at and give me your thoughts about it....

Example using today's game Expos vs. Mets

Expos runline is -1.5(+160) and the Mets are at +125.....

If you bet $100 on each you will come out on the plus side, unless Expos win by 1 run.

Scenario A: Expos win by 2, you win $160 but lose the $100 bet on the Mets. NET $+60

Scenario B: Mets win the game, you win $125 but lose the $100 bet on the Expos runline. NET $+25

Scenario C: Expos win by 1, you lose both bets. NET $-200

In summary, the only way you lose is in a one run victory by the Expos.

Believe this has been discussed in depth before. I'm not that big on bases, but I believe 1 run wins are common enough to destroy this strategy.

Linesmakers aren't stupid...if it were this easy to do, everyone booking bases would be out of business.

I think I was told 1 in 4 end up 1 run games.

General - total destruction to anyone who does this method. You'll notice how often those 1 run games hit once you are betting against them, LOL. Won't run through the numbers but anytime you are putting up $200 to try and win $25 you know it can't be good. I know someone who swore by it here and he lost the first two games he did it by exactly one run, LOL. He had to hit 16 times in a row for $25 to just get back even.

Save him now from this foolish lesson the player will soon learn.
