Hey everybody. I'm gearing up for baseball season, and am looking to supplement my usually mediocre handicapping. I've been considering buying one or both of BaseballFormula.com's formula subscriptions. They seem legitimate, and their records for the past two years are very solid. Does anyone know if their formula picks are independently monitored anywhere? Does anybody have any experience with them? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey Rhodey...I just checked out that baseball formula.com and that seems pretty promising. I really liked what it had to say. I haven't heard of that before...I'd like to know also if anyone has had success with it. From the records they show...it looks pretty solid. If you're considering on getting it, let me know maybe I could go in on half with you or something?? E-mail me at mgm@astound.net We can talk if you want...see ya!!

I KNOW A EXCELLENT FORMULA THAT GAVE ME THE LAST 3 YEARS A LOT OF MONEY.
FOR EXAMPLE:
1DAY - SAN DIEGO PADRES vs LA DODGERS
2DAY - SAN DIEGO PADRES vs LA DODGERS
3DAY - SAN DIEGO PADRES vs LA DODGERS.
BET TO THE LOOSER TEAM OF THE FIRST DAY OR CONSECUTIVE 2D DAY. MAKE SAME FORMULA FOR ALL TEAMS. EASY BUT TRUE.

I did the same - they look different. But the twominute guys should be pissed, cause that site looks like a ripoff. I used 2minute last year, not bad, interesting research. They also have 82games.com for NBA, which I didn't use. I might be willing to try the baseball site for a month though...

What a pathetic joke. They compare apples to oranges (NFL teams against the spread vs MLB teams winning outright). They belive payroll has an influence on value, and they believe momentum makes a "huge difference" in results. Bullshit. Momentum in baseball is simply the next day's starting pitcher. Any attempt to jump on teams in the middle of streaks is a waste of money; most 'trends' in baseball are statistical flukes that have as predictive value in the next day's game as the color of a team's uniforms.

This site is worthless. Don't waste your money or your energy playing these "secret" formulas. Here are some excerpts from their website:

"1) The Baseball Formula filters out particular teams in particular game situations. Because of Major League Baseball's huge economic disparities among clubs, there are certain teams playing in certain situations which just don't have a chance to win over the long haul. Contrast this with the National Football League, where any underdog can beat the spread (or even win outright) on any given Sunday.

The way that Major League Baseball is currently structured, wealthy franchises in big markets with large team budgets (such as New York), will dominate those franchises in the smaller markets (such as Kansas City and Milwaukee) that have smaller budgets. This is bad for the fans in small markets, but it works out to our advantage in playing the Dogs Formula.

2) The Formula takes advantage of team momentum, which makes a HUGE difference in results.

3) The Formula factors in opposing pitching and home field advantage."

Shotgun-

I understand your skepticism about BaseballFormula.com's vague description of their own formulas. However, I feel the site appears legitimate at first glance, they have provided proof of their futures play from last year, and I have heard from two people who independently vouch for them. A "pathetic joke" and "worthless" seem a bit strong to me. I am very skeptical at this point, but to completely dismiss the service seems like an overreaction to me. You're telling me that all the records posted on their site are bullshit? Or that they've gotten lucky (200+ units) in the last two years? I'm curious why you're so hard on them. Have you been burned by touts? Does the site (aside from the description mentioned above) look worse than I'm seeing? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shotgun, you're full of crap.

Momentum plays a HUGE roll in baseball. Like you made more than 40 units last year in MLB?

YOu are obviously an amateur. There are a ton of systems around that take advantage of team momentum in baseball. There's a system from Frank Rosenthal that takes advantage of team momentum in baseball from 3 different angles.

You don't know what you're talking about, bud.

As you say yourself, Shotgun, you're certifiably crazy, and given that you've posted here over 500 times, you're also certifiably the President of the Get a Life club.

Maybe a job would be in order. Help the economy.

rhodey,

Let me see if I can shed some light on your inquiry. I first found Baseball Formula as a monitored pay service at Big Guy Sports. Their record at BG was very different from what they advertised their dog formula on their website. I inquired as to the decrepency. The reply stated that last year they offered four different versions of their dog formula and the one they used at Big Guys was not the original core formula as advertised on their website. This year they are only offering the original formula that yielded the record as shown on the website.

The reason I decided against them was because of the number of games they give out daily. You'll receive approx 6 games per day or over 1000 games during the 26 week season. I want to play baseball this year, but I don't want to break my bankroll doing it. Also, in baseball you want to play primarily dogs but you also want to play small favorites. I only look to play 1 or 2 games per day.

I have done alot of research looking for a service to follow ( I don't have the time, energy nor desire to cap baseball daily ) I finally selected Earl Morgan at USA Sports Consulting as my baseball guru. I'm not touting this guy. He was just the end result of my research. Incidently, I'll only be playing his daily top rated play.

Buddy, you made the wrong call. Earl Morgan might have had a good MLB season last year, but according to his records on USA Consulting, he LOST in EVERY other sport, including over 24 units in College Hoops.

So that guy is your guru? A guy who can only have 1 sport he wins off of? If you throw darts at picks, you'll win off of 1 sport eventually.

Get ready for a longer summer buddy! Take another look at his record in overall sports!

You trust that site that monitored Earl Morgan's MLB plays? It's run by Bobby Babowski, one of the biggest scam artists out there. For your information hammerwood, here's Earl Morgan's 2002 record on Gurutracker.

And yes, you think he won big in 2002. Think again. The problem with the monitoring sites is, as JR MIller says, "who's monitoring the monitors?" Those monitored sites are run by scammers at times also.

Looks like the same guys from Two Minute Warning. Assuming it is, it likely has a lot of promise.

Looking at the site further, it looks questionable. A lot of big talk which isn't really the Two Minute Warning style. Plus there is very little info on their methods. On TMW there is always lots of articles to go along with the picks.

Kyle, Big guy sports showed you won a whopping two units with your system. Where is the proof that you won what you say you won? And if you really won so much money, why did you feel the need to tweak your unbeatable formula not once, not twice, but three times?

Maybe you simply took the most successful formula of the four and claimed that as the secret formula. Could that be it?

Here is one clue that this system is a joke:

*******"1) The Baseball Formula filters out particular teams in particular game situations. Because of Major League Baseball's huge economic disparities among clubs, there are certain teams playing in certain situations which just don't have a chance to win over the long haul. Contrast this with the National Football League, where any underdog can beat the spread (or even win outright) on any given Sunday."*******

Now what the hell does that mean? Are you telling me that small market teams like Minnesota, Oakland, Kansas City, and Florida can't win? They don't have a chance? And why are you comparing an underdog football team covering a POINTSPREAD with an underdog baseball team winning the game outright? Do you not understand the difference?

And please inform me what you mean by momentum when you say "the Formula takes advantage of team momentum, which makes a HUGE difference in results." Being vague may work when you are shilling your site, but throwing out Frank Rosenthal's name means nothing to me.

Rhodey, I don't buy their record. I haven't been burned by touts; I will say 90% of them are either frauds or one hit wonders that got hot for a season and expect it to continue.

This looks to me like it is in the one hit wonder catagory. The website is full of vague cliches without any substance. Some cute little charts ala JR Miller, but nothing else. They put two winning future tickets on the site; I guess we should assume that these were the only future bets made. Should we also assume that risking $100 in order to earn $115 6 months later is a wise move? Not much value there in my opinion.
