Have not been doing writeups this year, but as long as I have time, I'll go for one here.
I would rate Mark Prior one of the NL's best five starters this year, and would consider Mike Hampton below-average right now, but this price still appears way too high....Strongly prefer Atlanta in the hitting and bullpen areas and can't make them this kind of an underdog when they are 13 1/2 games ahead of the Cubs, who have dropped 13 of their last 20 games...Chicago is without one of its three strong hitters in Corey Patterson, and was no more than an average offensive team with him...And even with Prior pitching well, the Cubs have lost his last four starts, as the hitters and relievers have not done the job...They didn't begin to compete with the streaking Braves (seven in a row) yesterday in a 13-3 blowout...How can you not take + 140 (or less) with Atlanta today?
