Yes, I have some time on my hands tonight/this morning, so I am reverting back to my childhood "hobby" and randomly researching baseball trivia....so, DID YOU KNOW?

Jackie Robinson, Nolan Ryan, and Ernie Banks were all born on January 31.

Billy Williams, Wade Boggs, Andy Pettitte, and Tim Lincecum were all born on June 15.

Twins Manager, Ron Gardenhire was born in Butzbach, West Germany.

Wow artie, you do have some time on your hands.

I have a good one.

I have posted this a number of times, but i think this is the ultimate trivia question.

Who is the last American League player to win the MVP that was a switchhitter?

Did you know?

Despite losing 21 games in 1954, the Yankees got Don Larsen in a trade from the Baltimore Orioles. Two years later, he pitched his famed perfect game in the World Series. Three years after that he was traded to the Kansas City Athletics in a trade that brought Roger Maris to the New York Yankees. Maris went on to win back-to-back MVP awards with the Yanks.

Vida Blue

Both 1971 Cy Young winners, Vida Blue and Ferguson Jenkins, experienced drug related arrests in later years. Same can be said for 1968 and 1969 AL Cy Young award winner, Denny McLain, who is married to the daughter of Hall of Famer, Lou Boudreau.

Denny McLain also attended the same high school, Mount Carmel H.S. in Chicago, as Donovan McNabb, Chris Chelios, and Antoine Walker.

1967 AL Cy Young Award Winner, Jim Lonborg, became a dentist after retiring from baseball in 1979.

I didn't know this one, so I had to look it up. He's the CEO of a doll manufacturer. He also did a cameo on the Simpsons. Good one OAKAS.

He's a toy company executive.

1) Name the last Met 20 game winner.

2) Who was the last man to lead the majors in triples and homers in the same season.

3) Brett Garner hit an inside the park homer and a triple in the same game, in the past 20 years, only 3 others have done that, name them?

4) Who was on first base when Chamblis won the ALCS against the Royals.
