Only fills up when Cuse plays
I'm going to say it's the Holiday, and you won't get a ton there. Unlike other Schools, out of state teams would get more because they want to make a mini Holiday vacation out of it.
Coming to NY and all.
Yes, I appreciated UCONN going - I bought tiks to the East figuring Cuse would be a layup 1 seed - I ended up reselling them and making money because UCONN (who has 2 titles when the team wasn't even good) - but MSG is Cuse's home court no matter who they are playing there
here's the Jarvis quote:
``We should send 50 tickets to the state of Connecticut for future St. John's-Connecticut games .''
You would think Jarvis has enough to do without adding ticket manager to his list of duties. But the man has pull. If you are one of those fans who enjoys the train ride to Penn Station and the two-hour treat of watching your Huskies play St. John's in the world's greatest arena, it just got harder to buy the ticket.
St. John's isn't selling individual tickets to the Feb. 21 UConn game for at least another month. The only way to get a ticket now is by buying a full or partial season plan. In early December, tickets will be available to students and alumni before going on general sale.
``We've got a lot of requests from alumni groups, so we have to service our fans,'' St. John's ticket director Dennis Myron told the New York Daily News.
It seems St. John's would rather have empty seats than a lot of UConn fans. This is the only Garden game St. John's is handling this way. UConn fanshave gobbled up Garden tickets in recent years. Last season, Garden officials estimated two-thirds of the crowd of 19,528 were UConn fans.
What does UConn coach Jim Calhoun think of the ticket plan?
``I have a tough enough time getting our 14 or 15 guys to show up there ready to play, never mind the other 19,000,'' he said. ``I'm not responsible for them right now.''

Pretty funny.....
You also have to remember the size of these Schools ... St. John's is nowhere near that size...or have a Program like UConn or Cuse
