Charles Barkley says the only young players in the NBA that could turn the the troubled league around, based on talent, humbleness, and respect for not only the game, but also for older, former players who offer advice, are Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson, and Vince Carter. Any comments.............??

Vinsanity looks like he's possibly in the early stages of Ken Griffeyitis, that disease where the young heir apparent is the best in the game for a few seasons..then poof!?

I agree there Sub, Duncan should be added. Although Iverson has a "thuggish" look, he actually is a nice guy who we all know is talented. Same goes with Carter, but needs to stay healthy. Michael, I have to disagree. You don't win 2 straight scoring titles by being soft. T~Mac is totally dominating, and would be even more so with a little help.62 points in one game this year and should of been 70 if he didnt have an unusually bad night from the free throw line.....

I agree with you 100%. These guys are very soft and not proven winners. Athletic yes-very. Winners-no.

I will never forgive him for squandering last years playoffs....That was on HIM Hache!

Carter has seen his best days, Iverson too for that matter...

Duncan, KG, LeBron and Mello...this is who`s shoulders the leagues future sits on...

Sir Charles - Can be irritating & obnoxious at times. His redeeming virtue is how candid he can be also. When talking about the Heat game he made the comment that "You can go out to dinner & be assured that when you get back the score is gonna be 75-75 with 5 min left in 4th quarter" LOL

Hache man,

You read Sir Charles' comments out of context..

I saw the clip u are referring to and Barkley was asked by Ernie Johnson (nerdy host) of TNT which 3 players need a talking to to help raise the game to that of the NBA's glory years (early 1980s to mid 1990s) and that was the 3 guys u mentioned (T MAC, Iverson and Carter)..they are all essentially selfish one dimensional players who are not leaders for their teammates...he is dead on correct..he said there are only 3 players he would pay to see and thats Shaq, Duncan and
Garnett and that the league is a joke now (which it is, it reminds me of chick hoops in that its so predictable, heck every home team has won so far)..i gotta think Chuck has to be excited about Lebron and 'Melo though (and heck Dwyane Wade is one of the 20-25 better players in the game now), but rookies shouldnt be so heavily relied on for a sport such as Pro Hoops..it all goes back to a lack of fundamentals and a check out my sportscenter dunk mentality so many guys have now..thats why u have seen jason kidd in finals 2 years in a row, and why the orlando magic will probably have the 1st pick in draft..
