Nicanor, a full brother to ill-fated 2006 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Barbaro, will make his second career start on Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
The seven-furlong maiden special weight race on the main track is slated as the eighth race on the card.
Trained by Michael Matz for Roy and Gretchen Jackson's Lael Stables, the 3-year-old Dynaformer colt finished 10th of 12 horses in his career debut on January 31 at Gulfstream.
Nicanor worked four furlongs in :48.40 handily on March 3 at Palm Meadows Training Center. The move ranked 14th of 47 timed moves at the distance.
