No.

The comment was poking fun at McCain for his unfounded accusations that Obama is a socialist.

"I don't know what's next," Obama, the presidential candidate, said at an outdoor rally in North Carolina. "By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

Righties are misrepresenting all over the place. I'm not sure if it's that they really can't comprehend such things or if it's just deception.

EXACTLY the point. The entire Obamahippie camp is in complete denial of what economic principles he will try to put in motion. No matter how you dress it up, it is socialism. Deflecting it by comparing his accusation as trifle and ridiculous is exactly how Obama was trained...a lawyer.

Exactly how many employers are gonna offer health care if BO takes away their incentive to offer it? Why in the world would someone continue to pay for health insurance when the government will give it for free?

The next question is, what happens next when EVERYONE is under government health care? Hint-google Canada health care.

Cant get appointments. Health care is awful. Doctors flee the country once they get out of school like it is the plague. There is no longer competition, and the level of care goes down.

Not to mention the person who pays no taxes gets the same treatement as the person who does. That is wrong. Period.

Wanna talk about price controls? Why dont you ask your family practicioner the next time you are in there what has happened to their Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements over the last 2 years. They will probalby give you the middle finger and walk out of the room..

Gas man, Obama is not planning to hand out free health care to everyone. He only wants it to be more accessible.

Barack Obama will make health insurance affordable and accessible to all:

1.The Obama-Biden plan provides affordable, accessible health care for all Americans, builds on the existing healthcare system, and uses existing providers, doctors and plans to implement the plan.

2.Obama will lower health care costs:
The Obama plan will lower health care costs by $2,500 for a typical family by investing in health information technology, prevention and care coordination.

3.Promote public health:
Obama and Biden will require coverage of preventive services, including cancer screenings, and will increase state and local preparedness for terrorist attacks and natural disasters

No where does he state health care is a free for all. He simply just wants to make it easier on people. It's a f'n struggle for some folks right now.

Rob Funk. I am very aware of his plan.

I ask the question again. When you take away the incentive for corporations to offer health care, then tax them out the ass, how many of them are going to continue to offer health care to their employees, at least at an affordable level?

Even if they do, how many people are going to STAY in their health plan which costs them anywhere from 80-300 per month through their employer when they can just get on da welfare plan?

Do you see my point, at all?

EVERYONE will be on the governments health care by the end of his term. Once that happens, Google (CANADA health care system). Hell, go to Canada and ask them how good they think their health care is.

I DO see your point. But you are way off base comparing Obama's plan to the current Canada health care structure.

For starters, Obama's plan encourages people to work to EARN the incentive for health care cost breaks.

Additionally, no U.S. government plan can compare with a full boat health plan with included dental, eye wear and life insurance, etc. offered by my being a full time employee of some corperation.

I really think that at the end of the day, this proposed plan just takes some stress off people having a tough time with hospital visit and medication costs.

It will take time Rob Funk. But it will happen. That is the problem with socialistic plans (which apparently Obama is not). People lose the incentive to earn, to get ahead..Winston Churchill just happened to agree.
