Barman just a quick question for you. Am planning on attending Rays/Tigers game Saturday August 2nd. Will I need tickets in advance or will they be available? Also notice LL Cool J is in concert after the game will that affect ticket availability? Would appreciate any input you have on this subject.
Thanks
Elmo

ELMO, I'd forecast that as an almost certain sellout, so yes, get your tickets earlier.

What's your budget? We may well attend same game and will target the Upper Deck directly behind home plate where tickets are just $9 each.

If you'd like to be part of our modest group, let me know via email

dprinflorida AT yahoo.com

and how many and I'll include you in the ticket purchase which I'll be making about midweek next (about July 24 or so)

thanks for the input and the invite. Am Traveling w/ my 2 year old son and relatives from Crystal River. I think I am lookin at Loge Level 3rd base line around $24 a pop just a 4$ service fee per ticket. I am going to buy them on line tonight then. Annually make a trip there for a game in August some time and have never had to worry about ticket availability. Seeing as they are in contention I figured it would be taking a chance walking up to the ticket office right before the game. May join you for a game later in the year flying solo or just the wife and kid. Especially if I get on a roll and have some extra dough.

ayuh, for sure you don't want to be rolling up to to the window on game night. We missed two full innings earlier this spring when going to a NYY matchup.

$9 for Upper Deck behind home plate? That's insanely a great price.

The tickets I share for Yankees' games are relatively low in the Upper Deck directly behind home plate and they are $55/ticket. At the new Stadium, our tickets are going up to, now get this....$100/ticket for virtually the same/comparable seats.:hump:

Mrs. Artie paid $8.50 for a beer the other night at the all-star game. I would be all over those tickets at the Trop. It would almost be a winning prop if I sold one game's tickets and flew to Tampa to see the Yanks.

Yeppity yep.

Though I'll amend and say that remaining games vs BOS and NYY fall into Premium pricing (as did CHC series) which bumps them to a whopping $14 each.

Give that some consideration and if you're game I'll get ahead of it and buy some for one of the Sep 2-4 games.

Southwest Air current "Webfare" rates for Tue Sep 2 (morning out of ISP to TPA) and return Thu Sep 4 (after 12noon) just $119 each way and they don't jack you up with surcharges for your luggage.

I'm confident we'll be going to at least two of the three games and if you were coming in, we'd make it Tue/Wed.

Either way, I'll likely buy the tickets by no later than Aug 1

Wouldn't be surprised to see some other area Rxers in attendance if Rays still in legit contention for playoffs and especially if both Rays and Yanks were still in play on Sep 2

And recall that I'm almost certainly game for Round 3 of the AL/BM head2head wagering which will have elevated to $100 for that series and could pay for one of your flight legs.....

that is, IF.....heh

I will definitely consider it and see what my schedule looks like for early September.

On a separate note, did we decide that we would do $100 on the next H2H or were we only going to double it if no one won the previous H2H? I have no problem raising the stakes to $100, I just cannot remember.

We didn't formalize the What if NYY win both in July aftermath.

I'll likely be ready to try $100, but let me get that fitty to you first.

Like I said, no rush. If you'd rather do "double or nothing" on the next H2H, that works for me as well.

NOTE - Seattle RL wager graded No Action due to pitching change (Batista for Washburn). Thus that parlay grades down to a straight bet of TB Undah 7.5 (-115)
