I'm new to this site. Almost every day I will have a free twitter play in the NBA. In order to give the play a writeup I will also be posting my twitter play on the forum so I'm not just giving out a play with no reinforcement. My Twitter plays are one of my premium picks that I give out for free so although the picks are free they are still strong confidence plays. Check back in this thread for my first play and write up later on.

2/19/12 Play Of The Day: Nets +2.5 (2*)

The Bucks have been able to stay afloat without Andrew Bogut for the most part so far but that is beginning to change and at the moment the Bucks seem to be going downhill and the lines haven't caught on to that yet. The Nets have been playing much better recently although they have only been able to pull out a win in one of their last nine games ( Yesterday @ Bulls ) they have been playing competitively and with the debut of Center Brook Lopez The Nets will be too much for this lowly Milwaukee team. New Jersey will be playing its second game of a b2b but that win over the Bulls didn't fatigue this team it added fuel to their motor! The Nets felt very good about the win against the Bulls and with Brook Lopez coming back they are going to be playing some pretty inspired ball for a little while. Brandon Jennings will have a long day guarding Deron Williams and with the big man Brook Lopez coming back the Bucks just wont have an answer for that size and talent. Without Bogut the Bucks struggle against 7' footers, especially one as talented as Brook. This will be the first meeting between these teams this year and the Bucks swept the Nets in the regular season last year so I'm sure New Jersey will have that in mind going into this one. The wrong team is favored in this one and I'm going to take advantage of that. Nets get the W fairly easily.

Atlanta Hawks +10.5 (2*) :

This line is a few points higher than it should be and I'll take these points and run with them. These teams have played twice this year splitting wins with the home team winning both games. Chicago is only averaging 85.0 points against Atlanta this year and it will be hard to cover a ten point spread against this Hawks team if you can only score 85. Derrick Rose returning is an obvious advantage for the Bulls but the line for this game is a clear overreaction to his return. This game will be played at 3PM local time in Chicago. Early games are usually lower scoring games so that helps with the big underdog here. Atlanta has managed to fly under the radar and the perception of them is that they aren't very good when in reality they are one game back from third place in the East. Both teams are coming off of embarrassing losses and will be looking to bounce back today. This game is on ESPN so there is no way Atlanta just lays down and lets the Bulls beat them easily. I expect the Bulls to win the game but it should be a much better game than the line suggests.

There is no other 4rth qtr team that folds the tent quicker while losing by margin than those Hawks.
